BIRTHDAY PARADE Celebrating Walt Westerman’s 107th Birthday! The weather put a damper on our convertible parade outdoors but we moved the fun inside and had a great party! This party centered around Walt’s 107th birthday so we celebrated him and the six other Centenarians we have the honor of living here at Wesleyan Village! Mayor Whitfield came by to deliver a few words of wisdom and present all our 100 year old residents with a Proclamation from the City of Elyria. An honor guard presentation by the American Legion, in honor of Walt’s military service in the US Air Force, which raised Walt from his scooter to put his hand over his heart. We all enjoyed lots of games, food and music that rounded out this wonderful celebration. Congratulations to our honorees: Walt Westermann, Marian Van Valkenberg, Marie Archer, Vera Hughes, Maxine Linn, Dorothy Seiler, Marthe Guercy 6
