Will it be BENEFICIAL to all Marty Levitt has pursued a dual career as library concerned administrator and educator. He joined the staff of the American Philosophical Society in 1986, and was appointed to his current position as Director of the Inspiration Library in 2003. The APS Library is the repository of such icons as the Journals of Lewis and Clark, the Papers of Benjamin Franklin, the final draft of the June 15: Declaration of Independence, and some 12,000 linear Christopher Campbell feet of other manuscripts, hundreds of thousands of June 22: graphic images, thousands of hours of recorded sound, and 350,000 books. As Don Wilham an educator, Levitt recently retired (2013) after 20 years as a Professor in June 29: Temple�s Department of History. He was advanced to full Professor in 2000. Palmer Williams July 6: In 2011, Levitt was a Fulbright Specialist assigned to help open the first public Tyler Huston library in Rwanda, the Kigali Public Library. The Kigali Public Library successfully launched in 2012. Previously, in 1991-92, Levitt was a Fulbright Scholar to the July 13: UK, where among other duties he was curator of the 2 nd Air Division World War II Open archive and a lecturer in the department of American Studies at the University of July 20: East Anglia; during this period he was also was a Fellow of the Mary and David Dave Fiore Eccles Centre for American Studies at the British Library. Levitt was elected to July 27: the American Philosophical Society in 2010, and has been named the winner of Rick Owen the 2012 Distinguished Service Award of the Academy of Certified Archivists. Levitt received an MA in History from Florida Atlantic University, an MLIS with Birthdays concentration in Archives Management from Florida State University, and a Ph.D. in history from Temple University, where he wrote his dissertation, The United Todd Hallowell States Navy and Lighter-Than-Air Aviation, 1916-1962 under the guidance of June 14 Russell F. CART Update Coins for Alzheimer�s Research Trust Thank you, Sunrise, for funding U.S.-based research seeking a cure for Alzheimer�s and other dementia. Please continue to toss your change into the blue bucket on your table at each Tuesday Sunrise meeting. Your small change can make a big difference. CART started in 1996 with Rotarians voluntarily emptying their pockets and purses of change at weekly meetings. As of May 2020 CART had awarded $9.2 million in 55 grants to recognized US research institutions.
