March for Marie begins at 10:30 a.m. Public dedication to Marie Stuart Edwards

Walk in the footsteps of suffragists from across the country who came Peru Public Library, 102 E. Main Street, Peru, IN 46970
to Peru under the leadership of Marie Stuart Edwards to fight for the Celebrate Marie Stuart Edwards on Women’s Equality Day, she who
right to vote and the 19th Amendment’s ratification. Guided tour by galvanized a million-plus to support votes for women! The new
students of Ivy Tech Community College. statue to Marie Stuart Edwards marks the launch of the
Miami County Women’s Suffrage Trail.

Women from all over the United States stepped off the trains in Peru to find Marie waiting with
a plan to win the 19th Amendment and build confidence in voting.
This guided tour will end at Peru Public Library and the public dedication to Marie.
