mission statement W hen California Homes was launched in 1997 our mission was simple: portray California architecture and design at its best. Published bimonthly, with an additional special interest publication, The Essential Guide to Architect & Builders, out once each year for a total of seven issues per year California Homes is considered one of the most important regional magazines in the country and offers inspiring architecture, distinctive interior design and a statewide calendar of visual arts, exhibitions and important design events. After 23 years, the magazine and its online platforms have established a reputation for pride of place. Our editorial content expresses a passion for California design with a keen curated eye towards sophistication, composed beauty and the California lifestyle. California Homes is a statement of the true worth of the state. It is about quality and beauty. It is about the values that bind us together “California architects and interior designers have a reputation for expanding the cutting edge of design, but never losing sight of our architectural heritage.” Susan McFadden, Editor-in-Chief calhomesmagazine.com
