Message from the President
Dear friends,
For the past 49 years, alumni, parents and friends have enjoyed the tradition
of coming together as a community to attend Marquette High’s Topper
Auction. This celebratory evening includes reconnecting with friends, enjoying
a delicious meal together and of course, participating in some spirited bidding.
As I reflect on past auctions, I am always overwhelmed by the abundance of
joy and generosity that fills the gym by those in attendance.
As you know, this year will be very different due to the COVID-19 pandemic,
which has resulted in quarantining and social distancing. But we can still
continue the long tradition of coming together to support a cause we all love.
I am incredibly grateful to Class of 2005 members, Charlie Berens, Mike
Jurken and Joseph Sliker, who are generously lending their talents to make
Marquette High’s first-ever, one-hour virtual auction possible. I am also
thankful to our co-chairs Amy and Marty Merrick and Patty and Joe ’83
Kujawa, and the many dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers who have
worked countless hours to make this year’s event a success.
Now more than ever, MUHS needs your support. Funds raised at this unique
event will:
• provide emergency tuition assistance to MUHS families who are
economically impacted as a result of the growing financial downturn,
• serve our students and families in crisis with support for technology,
food and social-emotional safety, and
• meet current school year commitments to our families and employees.
Thank you for your continued support that enables us to educate young men
to become Christ-like men for others who are religious, loving, seeking
intellectual excellence, committed to justice and open to growth.

7. Due to CoVid 19, items can be picked up from school at a designated time to be announced. You may pick up your item by exhibiting a paid receipt during your pick up time.Item Pick Up will have a drive-thru process in the school parking lot. If you reside out of state or would rather have your item shipped, please know a fee of $15 will be charged to your account. 8. Please pay careful attention to all conditions, restrictions, and expirations dates on items and services. Unless otherwise stated, gift certificates exclude alcohol, tax and gratuity. Unless otherwise noted, all auction items and services must be used within one year of May 9, 2020. We appreciate your strict observance of these restrictions, as future donations depend upon it. 9. Dates for all trips and similar events must be mutually arranged with donor, unless otherwise noted. All reservations should be made at least one month in advance. All tickets in travel packages are for coach travel, unless otherwise specified. No refunds are permitted for canceled, lost, or unused tickets and/or accommodations. 10. Airline blackout dates apply to all tickets, regardless of airline, unless specifically noted. Blackout dates are subject to change. Tickets cannot be reissued or refunded. 11. All completed sales from this event are considered transactions solely between the purchaser and the donor of the auction items. 12. All gift card usage is the responsibility of the buyer. Although the gift card and amount is currently valid, MUHS is not responsible for unused gift cards at businesses that may cease to operate before the expiration date. 13. MUHS has endeavored to catalogue and describe the auction items correctly on-line and the electronic bidding devices, but all items are sold “as is.” No statements contained in the
program or made orally at the sale or elsewhere shall be deemed a
warranty, representation or assumption of liability. Bidders should
carefully note the specific restrictions, conditions, and expiration
dates for items purchased.
14. MUHS reserves the right to withdraw any item from sale.
15. Items depicted in the slide presentation and on the BidPal
technology are for illustration purposes and may not be actual
auction items.
Note: When buying auction items, all contributions in excess of the fair
market value of the item are tax deductible as a gift to a charitable
organization. The members of MUHS encourage all attendees, donors and
contributors to consult the appropriate IRS Revenue Ruling 67-246 and their
tax consultant.
