Gersbach, Toole and Taggart, a group of likeminded 2019 artists living in the Blue Mountains, mindfully document their personal stories on location through images of the everyday, iconic, random and the natural. “Our sketchbooks have become an intimate portal into the fleeting moments of the life we lead here in the Blue Mountains…” Work includes watercolour, ink, coloured pencils, acrylics and collage. The marathon, which started in 1984, follows the length of the entire trail and attracts over 850 entrants each year from around Australia and across the world. Time: 7am start. The first of Blackheath Art Society’s annual exhibitions, the Easter Exhibition is a showcase for Blackheath Art Society (BAS) members, with an opportunity to enjoy and purchase works from this renowned Society. Several BAS members are national and international prizewinners and have been represented in major awards such as the Archibald, Sulman and NSW Premier’s Plein Air prize. The launch event is on Saturday 20 April, 2.30-4pm, where you can meet the artists and hear the judge’s comments over a glass of wine and nibbles.
