Meet the new ALC Lawyer! Debbie Jorgensen is a lawyer with 14 years experience, whose practice currently includes wills and estate planning, estate administration, and residential and commercial real estate. Debbie was called to the Bar In 2004, and after practicing with a Bay Street law firm, she obtained her Masters in International Human Rights Law before joining her current firm, BSLSC LLP, in 2006. Debbie's practice was initially litigation-focused, including family law, employment law, estates litigation and general commercial/civil litigation, but to her great pleasure, she was able to transition into transaction-based work where she is much happier playing a productive role in advising and assisting her clients with their estate planning, carrying out real estate transactions and administering estates. When she is not working, Debbie enjoys spending time with her family, reading, learning how to box and traveling. Debbie is excited to be participating in the Legal Clinic at the NYSC and to be able to provide accessible, cost-effective legal advice and services directly to seniors in the community.
