The hotel has an exceptional bistro, bar and gaming room that has plenty to offer all patrons to make your stay enjoyable. It is also the perfect venue to hold your next function or event. The Lower Plenty Hotel is located only 22km from the heart of Melbourne CBD in the lively Lower Plenty neighbourhood. Whether you’re looking for a private space for a business meeting, an intimate dining experience, a casual gathering of friends or a stylish cocktail function, our function areas offer different settings and sizes that are sure to please. Function Spaces Chairman’s Room The Chairman’s room, located at the back of the Bistro is an elegant private dining room which can cater for a range of different functions from meetings, product launches, birthday parties, engagements, anniversary, small weddings and many other events. This room features a huge plasma screen for a photo slide show or DVD/video viewing and is also accompanied by a small outside courtyard. If you require more space, at the discretion of the functions team, we will try to accommodate your party in the bistro/dining room. SEATED – 40 STANDING – 50-‐60 Outside Terrace Bar This unique area that is surrounded by the natural environment makes for a relaxed and sensational space to enjoy your function either by day or night. The T-‐Bar is ideal for any occasion, from 18th to 50th birthday celebrations and many other events. This space features a private bar which serves beer on tap, wine and bottled spirits and is ideal for a range of functions. This area is held exclusively for your function for a maximum of 4 hours, after which time the area will be opened up to the public. We welcome you to bring your own decorations to make your function special; we also welcome you to have cakes for your function. As this area is partially outdoors, if the weather is not suitable, our functions team will assist on the day to move your party to the most practical undercover area. Bistro Menu Options With any function at Lower Plenty Hotel, we welcome you to order off our a la carte Menu in the Bistro. If this option suits you and your guests better, please feel free to discuss with our function team. Private Staff Member Want to have a no fuss function? Why not hire a fully exclusive staff member for your function to service you with food and beverages for the night. From $35 per hour per staff member (minimum two hours) you can have this to accompany your next function.

Served with your choice of chunky chips and salad or seasonal vegetables Beer Battered Barramundi Golden fried beer battered barramundi fillets served with tartare sauce, chunky chips and garden salad Penne with Wild Mushrooms and Leek Sautéed leeks, wild mushrooms and garlic in a creamy white wine sauce with baby spinach. Menu 2 $35 per person -‐ 2 Courses $42 per person -‐ 3 courses Entrees Soup of the Day Today’s soup selection with fresh bread rolls Salt and Pepper Calamari Calamari pieces dusted in sea salt, cracked black pepper and paprika then flash fried. Served with mango, chilli chutney. Steamed Thai Chicken Meatballs Chicken meatballs flavoured with coriander, chilli, lemongrass, garlic and sesame. Served steamed with lime and chilli dipping sauce and a fresh coriander and mint salad Mains 300gram “Angus Pure” Rump South Australian pasture fed certified Angus beef cooked medium on the char grill and served with rosemary spiced roasted potatoes and wild mushroom sauce Chicken and Cashew Stir-‐fry Chicken breast pieces wok tossed with capsicums, onions, carrots, cashew nuts in a soy and sesame sauce. Served with Jasmine rice Eggplant and Chicpea Curry Eggplant, sweet potato, tomatoes and pumpkin slow cooked with medium spices and served with steamed rice and flat bread Baked Atlantic Salmon Fillet of salmon pan seared and finished in the oven. Served with sautéed baby potatoes, steamed brocollini and preserve lemon yoghurt.

Terms & Conditions Food & Beverage Packages The Lower Plenty Hotel is a fully licensed hotel, organisers and their guests are not permitted to bring their own food or liquor to the respective event. The Lower Plenty Hotel practices Responsible Service of Alcohol, as specified in the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998. The Lower Plenty Hotel reserves the right to cease the service of alcohol in line with the above Act. Final catering details and food cost are required 14 days prior to the booked event; change in numbers after this period may be subject to the cancellation policies. Function Facilities The Lower Plenty Hotel reserves the right to book other events in the same function room up to one hour after the scheduled event finishing time. The Lower Plenty Hotel also reserves the right to host other functions while your event is in progress. The Lower Plenty Hotel reserves the right to adjust all function space accordingly. Postponement Events postponed less than 14 days prior to the event date may be charged 100% of the full estimate cost to the function as per the cancellation agreement. Events may only be postponed for up to 6 months from the original event date. The Lower Plenty Hotel reserves the right to reassess all quotations given on change of dates. Unforeseen Circumstances In the event of the Lower Plenty Hotel’s inability to comply with any of the provisions of this agreement by virtue of any cessation or interruption of electricity or gas supplies, industry disputes, plant or equipment failure, unavailability of food items or other unforseen contingency, The Lower Plenty Hotel reserves the right to cancel any bookings or refund any deposit without notice at any time. Due to unforeseen circumstances, should the facilities reserved be unavailable, the Lower Plenty Hotel reserves the right to substitute similar or comparable venues (with discussion and coordination with patron). Every effort will be made to advise the client in advance. Loss & Damage The client shall remain responsible at all times for any loss or damage to the property of the Lower Plenty Hotel caused by clients, guests and invitees. In the event of that loss or damage occurring, all guests may be asked to leave the hotel.
We are extremely careful when looking after guests belongings. Unfortunately we cannot take responsibility for the damage and loss of items before, during and after the event. We therefore suggest insurance cover be arranged for respective goods. Provision of Goods and Services Should the client need any outside contractors they must liaise with the hotel for all matters. The client is responsible for the cost in ensuring set-‐up and breakdown of all function space. All deliveries to the Lower Plenty Hotel must be advised to the function coordinator prior to the delivery and must be delivered to the appropriate facilities. The Lower Plenty Hotel may not supply trolleys or staff. The Lower Plenty Hotel may not transport goods, equipment, or materials left on premises and will not be responsible for any loss or damaged goods. Items remaining after the event without prior arrangement will be deemed abandoned. The Lower Plenty Hotel reserves the right to decline any request for outside work to be made in accordance with an event. Dress Code The Lower Plenty Hotel is subject to a neat casual dress code. Thongs, singlets, shorts are all acceptable under the hotels dress code. Function Availability (Terrace Bar only) The Terrace bar is available for functions any time of the week, except on a Friday evening from 6pm due to entertainment that the hotel provides to patrons on this night. Entertainment Lower Plenty Hotel provides entertainment for patrons on the weekends, including Friday night DJ’s (function bookings are unavailable), on Saturday evenings, we have our resident DJ who plays all the music you want to hear. On a Sunday afternoon we have our acoustic sessions which start at 4pm. Our events team encourage you to book a function during these times to enjoy the entertainment that the hotel has to offer! Age requirements Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Guests under the age of 18 are welcome at Lower Plenty Hotel in the Terrace Bar till 7pm on the weekend, and until 11pm during weekdays. Photo ID will be required upon entry, drivers licenses and passports are acceptable forms of ID.
Minimum Spend We do not charge a room hire fee, however a minimum spend does apply when hosting your event with us. This can be made up by food and beverage, and is determined by the time, location and date of the event. In the event that the minimum spend is not reached or agreed on, a room hire will be charged in accordance with these terms and conditions. Additional If the client requires the organiser to source, book or confirm other arrangements on their behalf The Lower Plenty Hotel reserves the right to apply a 10% surcharge. All other commitments entered into the agreement by the Lower Plenty Hotel on behalf of the undersigned will be at full cost should notification of cancellation not be received within adequate time required by the third party. Companies and associations are required to accept responsibility where their delegates fail to pay for sundry delegate charges. Taxes The Goods and Services Tax (GST) has been included in all prices quoted. Subject to new government taxes or changes to existing tax legislation (State or Federal) effecting services The Lower Plenty Hotel reserves the right to vary the condition of the agreement and proposal accordingly. Cancellation of Event or reduction in numbers in the circumstances of the event being cancelled with written notice given, the following terms and conditions apply: -‐ 90 – 61 days prior to the event date may incur a cancellation fee equal to 25% of the agreed contract -‐ 60 – 31 days prior to the event date may incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the agreed contract -‐ 14 – 30 days prior to the event date may incur a cancellation fee equal to 75% of the agreed contract -‐ Less than 14 days prior to the event date may incur a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the agreed contact All deposits are non-‐refundable.
