cats at SoHumane. I can see our dedicated volunteers

SoHumane Youth Programs
T he Southern Oregon Humane Society
provides daily opportunities for the youth of
Southern Oregon to learn empathy, compassion
and respect for all living creatures.
SoHumane’s youth volunteer and school
programs, shelter tours, and camps target
elementary through high school students.
Participants learn about our organization, our
adoption program, and how we help animals
and the people who love them. Many children
and teens have the opportunity to learn from
SoHumane staff and adult volunteers and interact
with the dogs and cats in our care. Some choose SoHumane partners with college level students
to do scouting, community service and school on a one to one basis by being a resource for

adopt a senior pet. These special people have the ability to see past the grey and age, look directly
at the animal and find true love.

they will get, what their personality will be, or how much energy they will have. What you see is what you
