St Paul’s Way Education Foundation Trust Required for September 2018 Teacher o Science (Biology, Chemistry or Physics) MPS/UPS St Paul’s Way Trust School, in association with Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), is seeking to appoint an outstanding and creative teacher of Science. The post would be suitable for an NQT or a more experienced teacher who would like to develop their skills and expertise in a large, well-resourced Science faculty. Members of the Science team may also, if interest is expressed, have the opportunity to work with academic colleagues at QMUL, to extend their own subject expertise (through our innovative Teacher Fellowship scheme) and to deliver a unique foundation year medical course at QMUL’s Whitechapel campus with honorary lecturer status. The excellent sixth form teaching has been enhanced by the creation of the Science Research Centre. This has allowed our sixth form students to engage and participate with real research through the Authentic Biology Project. You will help facilitate learning for 14-18s and adult students at all levels in our vibrant College. You will be working with cross college curriculum teams, as well as liaising with external agencies, to support students and their learning. You will contribute to the planning and delivery of support for a variety of subjects and for learners with learning difficulties and disabilities. This includes: classroom support, one-to-one support, initial advice and guidance, progression support and supervised lunch and break cover. This is an exciting and challenging role, for which you’ll need an understanding of good practice in supporting learners with additional needs. You will also need to be a good team player and have strong English and IT skills.
