COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE Community Supported Agriculture (CSA): Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a connection between a local farmer and the people who eat the food that the farm produces. The essence of the relationship is one of mutual commitment: the farm feeds the people; the people support the farm and both share in the inherent risks of farming and in the potential bounty. HOW DOES A CSA MEMBERSHIP WORK? Generally, CSA members pay for their seasonal harvest before the season begins. This helps finance the farmer’s costs at the beginning of the season.
