We have several programs to fit your child’s needs – from learn to skate in Pre-CanSkate (age 3) and CanSkate (ages 4 and up) to the Bridging and Competitive StarSkate program. Kids have fun exploring equipment, playing games and Program learning basic landings, hangs, rolls & springs. Tiny Tots – 30 min class for 1-2 year olds (must be walking). *Parent participation required Tumblebugs – 45 min class for 2 and 3 year olds. *Parent participation required Kindergym – 1 hr class for 4 and 5 year olds. Ages 12 - 18 welcome! Army Cadets develop abilities in camping and survival skills, hiking, marksmanship, personal fitness, adventure training and much more. Cadets get involved in ceremonial military events and citizenship activities that allow them to connect to their Canadian heritage. Cadets are encouraged and given opportunities to become leaders in their corps and in their communities. As they gain experience they may be selected to join in activities such as paid summer camps and other outstanding travel opportunities. There are ZERO registration costs. Recreational Programs Recreational Stars (Levels 1 – 10) – Athletes ages 5 and Up This program provides the opportunity to experience the basic concepts of synchronized swimming, while integrating science of athlete development, swimming and stroking, as well as strength and flexibility. Levels are designed to foster success, with the ability for an athlete to complete multiple levels in a season. Successful completion of this program will prepare an athlete for our competitive program. Season Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-5:30 p.m. *Each level is 10 classes and assessment/registration night Session-1: Sept. 26 - Registration/assessment. PROGRAMS DATES AND TIMES DESCRIPTION Sparks Thursdays Girls are encouraged to try a bit of everything and begin discovering their individual skills, (ages 5-6) 6:30-7:30 p.m. talents and interests. Girls will make lots of new friends, start earning badges and begin to learn all kinds of new skills in a safe and fun atmosphere. Brownies Wednesdays This program is all about encouraging girls to develop their own identity and positive (ages 7-8) 6:30-8 p.m. relationships with others. Brownies gain confidence by learning skills that they can use in their daily lives and develop a commitment to their communities through service projects and special events. Guides Mondays Girls strengthen their leadership skills by taking the lead in Unit activities, learning to (ages 9-11) 6:30-8 p.m. organize events and teaching each other new skills, all while having fun with girls their own age. Guides also have opportunities to take action on issues important to them and to make an impact on their community through service projects. Pathfinders Mondays Girls take the lead and become active in the causes they believe in, develop their (ages 12-14) 6:30-8 p.m. independence while also learning the value of teamwork. Girls have the chance to organize their own events and outings and are encouraged to explore new interests in diverse areas such as photography, web design, fashion, engineering and more. Rangers Contact Rangers is about leadership and community involvement and a flexible program that (ages 15-17) Abby Kradovill allows teens to create their own unique Guiding experience. Young women begin to for more details explore career options and learn valuable skills such as budgeting and event planning. Rangers are also involved in active leadership opportunities. Volunteers Contact You’re playing a key role in providing girls aged 5-17 with the fun and the challenge of Abby Kradovill Guiding. You’ll be their cheerleader and mentor as you help your girls develop skills and for more details confidence that will last a lifetime. The activities are designed to promote positive interaction, build self-confidence and provide access to community and centre based components. Some of these activities include: attending community events, tours, bowling, swimming, crafts, discussion groups, coffee outings, day trips, billiards, skating, movies, nature walks, dining out, garage sales etc. We also offer programming to aid in learning new skills or building on some the consumers already have.
