FEBRUARY HALF-TERM HOLIDAY PROGRAMME - Newham ...
WELCOME
    AS LOCKDOWN CONTINUES
OUR AIM IS TO INSPIRE HOPE
    FOR OUR CHILDREN AND
    YOUNG PEOPLE.
It’s February Half Term and we want young people to enjoy the holidays. In this holiday
programme, we’re providing young people and families information about how to stay safe
and healthy with a focus on both physical and mental health support and opportunities.
We are also sharing a wide range of online activities both in and around Newham, and
further afield in order to ensure there are activities for every age group and interest.
For those who want to continue learning over the half term there are lots of free
resources and lessons covering many subjects from Early Years to Year 11 available at:
    www.thenational.academy
This programme shared with you via your school, will also be available to access online:
    www.newham.gov.uk/ActivitiesForYoungPeople
I hope you will give some of the activities a try.
This is also a great moment for me to tell you all about 2021 Newham Year of the Young
Person. For the first time ever, Newham is dedicating the year to young people and 2021
will be about raising HOPES and CELEBRATING our young people. We want to amplify
young people’s voices and increase young people’s participation in all we do. To find out
more please visit: www.newham.gov.uk/yoyp and watch out for updates each week in the
    Newham Recorder.
    Best wishes
