LEGGERE TRA LE RIGHE DEL PIANO DI LAVORO – PECULIARITÀ ED ELEMENTI DI NOVITÀ Serena Borgna, APRE 16 Luglio 2021
Connessione politiche/destination (WP) Destination Biodiversity and ecosystem services All topics will directly contribute to the EU biodiversity strategy for 2030 and to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 13, 14, 15, 17. Several missions will also help to achieve biodiversity- related impacts, notably in the areas of ‘Adaptation to climate change including societal transformation’, ‘Climate-neutral and smart cities’, ‘Ocean, seas and waters’ and ‘Soil health and food’. Destination Clean environment and zero pollution In line with the objectives of the European Green Deal, particularly its zero pollution ambition, and the 2030 Climate Target Plan, and other relevant EU legislation , this destination seeks to halt and prevent pollution by focussing the work programme 2021-2022 (cf. European Green Deal deliverables farm to fork strategy, biodiversity strategy, soil strategy, but also bioeconomy strategy, marine strategy, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development etc., the Missions on Soil Health and Food as well as on Ocean, seas and waters, etc. )
Aspetti orizzontali Open Science across the programme Gender dimension in R&I content Da considerare in tutte le call e, Pathway to impact ovviamente, anche nell’ambito del cluster 6 Alcune call potrebbero prevedere aspetti Measures to maximise impact agguntivi (ex. MAA, SSH, Social Innovation, stakeholder engagement,…) Do no significant harm principle (DNSH) Artificial intelligence
Do no significant harm principle (DNSH) In line with the European Green Deal objectives, economic activities European Green Deal should not make a significant harm to any of the six environmental objectives (EU Taxonomy Regulation) Climate change mitigation Climate change adaptation Sustainable use & protection of water & marine resources Transition to a circular economy Protection and restoration of biodiversity Pollution prevention & control & ecosystems When considering their impact, proposals also need to assess their compliance with the “Do No Significant Harm” principle according to which the research and innovation activities of the project should not be supporting or carrying out activities that make a significant harm to any of the six environmental objectives of the EU Taxonomy Regulation.
Artificial intelligence Trustworthy Due diligence is required regarding the trustworthiness of all AI-based Artificial systems/ techniques used or developed in projects funded under Intelligence Horizon Europe. Under Horizon Europe, the technical robustness* of the proposed AI based systems must be evaluated under the excellence criterion. (*) Technical robustness refers to technical aspects of AI systems and development, including resilience to attack and security, fullback plan and general safety, accuracy, reliability and reproducibility.
