KEY NOTE SPEAKER_MAARTEN STEINBUCH Maarten Steinbuch (1960) is Distinguished University Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology. From 1987-1999 he was with Philips. He is member of the board of AutomotiveNL, (past) co-founder of MI-Partners BV, co-founder of Mechatronics Academy BV, Preceyes BV, MicroSure BV and founder of Steinbuch in Motion BV. He is CEO and co-founder of Eindhoven Medical Robotics BV, and faculty of SingularityU Benelux. Since 2014 he is also Scientific Director of the TU/e High Tech Systems Center HTSC. Since 2018 he is CTO of the Eindhoven Engine. In 2015 Maarten received the KIVI Academic Society Award. In 2016 he was awarded as Simon Stevin Meester 2016, the highest Dutch award for Scientific Technological research. His research interests are modeling, design and control of motion systems, robotics, automotive powertrains and of fusion plasmas. Maarten Steinbuch has more than 340 publications in ISI web of science and has over 3500 citations (H-index 30). In Google Scholar he has more than 10850 citations and an H-index of 51. He is an IEEE Fellow.
CONFIRMED SPEAKER_MASSIMO MARCIANI Massimo Marciani: Graduated in Statistics, Demographic and Actuarial Sciences at the University of Rome La Sapienza, after working in a market research sector, founded FIT Consulting in 1997, a consulting company in the logistics, mobility and transport sector. He is contract professor at the Link University of Rome and, previously, invited professor at Luiss Business School. He is coordinator of several Working Groups at the Ministry of Transport, Advisor of the Trucking Authority and ANCI. Member of scientific committees of several national and European bodies, speaker at meetings and conferences, Massimo Marciani has collaborated on numerous research and consultancy projects in supporting either public and private bodies at national and international level. Chairman of Freight Leaders Council, he is member of the Expert Group Urban Mobility of the European Commission, Chairman of the Technical Committee for Goods Transport of the World Road Association and co-director of the Master in Sustainable Mobility and Transport of Link University.
CONFIRMED SPEAKER_GUY LE BRAS Guy Le Bras, aged 57, is Civil Mining Engineer. He is Managing Director of GART (French Public Transport Authorities Association. He began his career at Renault Industrial Vehicles as responsible of the relations with the World Bank. In 1995, he became Director of the Office of the Mayor of Laval City. Between 1997 and 2006, he was Managing Director of Laval Science Park. Between 2006 and 2010 he was Director at the Public Affairs direction of Veolia Transport. Guy Le Bras is member of the board of Avenir-Transports association. He has the French Academic Medal and the National Merit Order Medal.
CONFIRMED SPEAKER_KAREN VANCLUYSEN Karen Vancluysen was appointed as Secretary General of the Polis network in September 2014, after having been the network's Research Director for 8 years. Polis is the leading European network of cities and regions on urban transport innovation. Since 1989, members have been working together to develop sustainable and innovative urban mobility solutions for the city of today and tomorrow. The network also engages in debates around topical issues such as active travel, shared mobility services, MaaS, automated transport, electromobility and innovative governance approaches. Prior to joining Polis in 2004, Karen was Network Manager at ACCESS-EUROCITIES for a New Mobility Culture and project manager at Langzaam Verkeer, a Belgian centre for mobility management. Since 1998, she has been involved in European urban transport networking and policy activities and many EU research and innovation projects covering a wide range of urban mobility topics.
CONFIRMED SPEAKER_PAOLA COSSU Paola Cossu: Chief Executive Officer and shareholder of Fit Consulting srl. Degree in Statistics at University of Rome. She has more than 20 years’ experience on European and national Research and Innovation projects on mobility of goods and people. She is (and she was) the project coordinator and project director of many European research projects within several Programmes of the European Commission (e.g. IEE-STEER, LIFE +, CIVITAS Programme, JTI- FCH, HORIZON 2020 and former EU Framework programmes – from 4th to 7th). She was technical specialist for the Taranto Port Authority and FINEST spa for MED programme and IPA EU projects. She was invited Professor for: “Urban Logistics Manager” - Master in Sustainable Mobility (Link Campus University) on “City Logistics Management” (Link Campus University) and Master in Eco-mobility Management (Luiss Business School). She is in the Executive Board and co-chair of the thematic group on urban logistics in ALICE “Alliance for Logistics Innovation through collaboration in Europe”", the European Technology Platform on Logistics.
CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ROAMY VALERA Roamy Valera, CAPP, is an internationally respected parking industry leader with over 30 years of experience in parking, mobility, and transportation. He currently holds a position as past-chair of the International Parking and Mobility Institute (IPMI) board of directors, the world’s largest association of parking professionals. With his extensive experience, Roamy leads the development and execution of PayByPhone’s growth strategy throughout North America, while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the US and Canadian markets. He also works closely with PayByPhone’s Global executive team to develop and implement corporate strategy. Prior to his appointment at PayByPhone, Roamy served as CEO of NewTown Advisors, an acclaimed parking and mobility consulting firm and a senior executive with SP Plus Corporation, where he drove developing market segments and profit growth.
CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ TIAGO FARIAS Tiago Farias has spent his recent years managing mobility and transportation companies. He was a member of the Board of EMEL - the Lisbon Mobility and Parking Company; general manager of mobility and transport of the City of Lisbon; President and CEO of Metropolitano de Lisboa and Transtejo - the Lisbon Ferries company. Tiago is currently the President and CEO of CARRIS (Lisbon Municipal Bus and Tram Operator) and President of the Board of OTLIS – the contactless ticketing integrator of Lisbon.
CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ GIULIANO MINGARDO Giuliano Mingardo is senior researcher and lecturer at the Erasmus Centre for Urban, Port and Transport Economics (UPT) of the Erasmus University Rotterdam. He has worked in academia since 2000 on several research projects both at national and European level mainly in the fields of urban transport. He is lecturer in transport economics both at Bachelor and Master level. Giuliano is specialized in parking policy and mobility management and regularly advises local governments and large companies on these issues. He is an acclaimed speaker both at national and international level and organizes master classes for professional audiences as well. Among others, he is a member of the Scientific and Technical Committee of the European Parking Association (EPA). Giuliano speaks four languages – Italian, Dutch, English and Spanish – and has gained academic qualifications from the Ca' Foscari University of Venice (MSc. in Economics), Erasmus University Rotterdam (Master degree in Urban Management) and Delft University of Technology (PhD in parking policy).
CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ JOAO CAETANO DIAS João has a degree in Engineering (Industry and Technology) by “Instituto Superior Técnico”, Lisbon, 1986, and a Master in Business Administration at the “Universidade Nova de Lisboa”, 1992 (The Lisbon MBA). After working in Tech Industry, Venture Capital and Investment Banking, João joined A. Silva & Silva Group as International Director in 1997 and later Empark, in 2003. He’s currently Risk & Strategy Director at Empark and Board Member at Maksu, Empark unit specialized in digitalization, cloud technologies and mobile payment services. João is also Member of the Policy and Strategy Committee of the European Parking Association since 2012, where he participated in several working groups, and member of the board of the Alliance for Parking Data Standards since 2018.
CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ FRANK DAEMS Frank holds a Master’s degree in civil engineering, micro electronics and telecommunications from KU Leuven, Belgium. Among various work experiences and before joining ERTICO in February 2018, he was an R&D and Innovation manager at Philips Consumer electronics. He worked as product management director for POS Payment terminals at Intellect and at NXP Semiconductors as ‘connected car’ business development director for the BU Automotive. He extended his experiences by delivering consultancy and innovation management services for a number of mobility related start-ups in co-operation with international start-up networks and innovators. His expertise lies within Connected and Automated Driving, Transport & logistics and truck platooning. Being a native Belgian, Frank is fluent in French, Dutch, English and speaks some German.
CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ PETER MARTENS Peter Martens obtained a Master Degree in civil engineering, transportation planning at the Technical University Delft Netherlands. He held several positions in transportation planning & logistics consulting and marketing and has over 40 years of experience in urban and regional transportation planning and parking. He was chairman of the Policy & Strategy Committee of the European Parking Association from 2005 until 2015 and was vice president of Vexpan (the trade representative organization for the parking sector in the Netherlands) from 2008 until 2017. He worked in consultancy and project management in transportation planning, logistics and information technology at DHV consultants, Unisys and Tebodin Consultants & Engineers for 25 years, before joining Q-Park in 1997 as head of Research & Development moving in 2002 to Corporate Director Business Development at the international office and retiring in 2017
CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ JONATHAN HARROD BOOTH Jonathan has been supporting the Alliance for Parking Data Standards in their standards & specification development since early 2018. He also led the UK Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) Discovery project work on data modelling. As well as providing ITS and highway systems consultancy services to numerous clients, Jonathan is also a well-established figure in international standards development. He chairs the British Standards Institution's national committee for ITS standards, and is the Convenor of Working Group 8 of CEN/TC278 who are responsible for the standardisation of DATEX II (CEN 16157) the European traffic management data exchange standard.
CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ PABLO GÓMEZ Pablo Gómez, Managing Director at FM Logistic in Iberia. Environmental engineer, and MBA by IESE. Eighteen years in the logistic sector. Previous to his current position Pablo has been Vice President at the Consultancy A.T. Kearney as well as Vice Chair at the technological logistic platform ALICE. During three years he combined his role as managing director for FM Logistic in Iberia with the role of Corporate Innovation Responsible for the FM group. From this positon, Pablo launched the urban logistic initiative of Citylogin, today present in more than 15 western European cities. Pablo has recently been appointed as President of Logistop, the Spanish technological platform for logistic innovation. Pablo pretends to influence the transformation that the logistic sector is experiencing from this position.
CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ OSCAR RODRIGUES Óscar Rodrigues, Director at EMEL (Lisbon Mobility and Parking Municipal Company) has 20 years of experience in parking operations management. Is nowadays responsible for On-Street and Off-Street operations in Lisbon, working also in strategic planning and international areas. Was part of the team that built Lisbon’s plan for Electric Mobility, under the scope of Governmental Program “Mobi.e”. Is also an expert in sustainable urban mobility and parking management with participation in several international congresses and meetings. Was the first european getting “CAPP – Certified Administrator in Public Parking” by International Parking Institute (USA).
CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ DONALD SHOUP Donald Shoup is Distinguished Research Professor in the Department of Urban Planning at the University of California, Los Angeles. His research has focused on how parking policies affect cities, the economy, and the environment. Shoup is a Fellow of the American Institute of Certified Planners and an Honorary Professor at the Beijing Transportation Research Center.

CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ MICHAEL SPEARPOINT Mike is the Research Leader at OFR Consultants, UK. Formerly he was Associate Professor of Fire Engineering at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand where he also completed his PhD. Previously he completed his Masters in Fire Protection Engineering at the University of Maryland, USA and work for BRE Global in the UK. He is a Chartered Engineer through the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE), UK and also a Professional member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineering (SFPE). Mike has published widely on topics including fire and evacuation modelling, the performance of materials and systems in fire, and various other fire engineering-related topics including some work on vehicle fires and car parks.

CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ KOEN KENNIS As vice mayor, responsible for mobility, Koen Kennis focuses on a smoother traffic flow, safer roads and increased liveability. With among other things the construction of the Oosterweel link - the ring road around Antwerp and one of the largest infrastructural projects in Western Europe - there will be fewer traffic congestions, fewer accidents and an improved quality of life in the Antwerp region. In the meantime, to ensure the accessibility of city and port, Koen is currently realizing a set of multimodal mobility projects and is creating a modal shift towards, for instance, public transportation and shared mobility systems. Koen Kennis is a Flemish politician with over 20 years’ political experience and a member of the N- VA (New Flemish Alliance), a political party whose ancestry is rooted in democratic Flemish nationalism. Koen Kennis is currently vice mayor of the city of Antwerp and responsible for finance, mobility, SME’s, tourism and intra municipal decentralisation and this since 2013. Initially, Koen started his career in the private sector as manager for Belgavia from 1994 till 1997, and later on as managing consultant for Stork Asset management Solutions from 1997 till 2009. From 2009 till 2012 he was the senior advisor to Geert Bourgeois, the then Vice-Minister- President of the Flemish Government. Koen Kennis is born and raised in Antwerp. Koen is respected by both friends and opponents as a passionate politician and a hard worker who possesses first-class knowledge of his dossiers.
CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ LUIS NATAL MARQUES Luís Filipe Natal Marques was born in Portimão on March 21, 1956. He graduated in Economics from the Universidade Técnica de Lisboa - School of Economics and Management (UTL / ISEG) in 1982. In addition to several specializations in Economics he has a Master Degree in International Development and Cooperation. He was a university professor in the area of Economics / Mathematics at Instituto Superior de Gestão (1993-1997) and at Instituto Superior de Gestão Bancária (1999/2007). Besides university teaching, Luís Natal Marques has always worked in the area of Business Management, and since 2015 he is Chairman of the Board of Directors of EMEL, Empresa Municipal de Mobilidade e Estacionamento (municipal mobility and parking company). From his youth he devotes himself to writing, especially to poetry, and disseminates it preferentially in gatherings and meetings. He published his first book of poetry, Scordatura, in 1997. He is the author of the blog “Rotação dos Tempos”
CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ SYLVIA RAUSCH Ivo Cré, Director Policy & Projects - Coordinator Access. Ivo is involved in Polis’ policy coordination and activities of EU project development. He leads Polis' thematic pillar on the Access Aspects of Transport. Ivo coordinates the Polis working groups on parking and Access and has coordinated Polis’ policy paper on smart cities as well as the annual parking papers. He is currently working on the European Projects Future Radar, CIVITAS SATELLITE, SETRIS, EBSF_2 and SUNRISE. He is also working in the PARK4SUMP project. Ivo has extensive experience in city networks and policy in the field of mobility.
CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ TIES DE GROOT Ties de Groot has been working as Manager Innovations & Account Management since January 2018 for SHPV, a cooperative organization of and for local authorities. Before that, he worked for 8 years as a product and innovation manager within the municipality of Rotterdam and has held various positions in commercial IT. CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ SYLVIA RAUSCH Sylvia Rausch is the Marketing Director of Saba Group. She studied Business Administration in Austria, her home country, and has obtained different Masters Degrees from HEC, Paris and ESADE, Barcelona. She started her professional career at the Port of Barcelona’s Logistics Platform ZAL, and joined the Abertis Group as Business Director in 2006, serving on different boards of participated companies. Since 2014, she has been working as Marketing Director of Saba Group, with a focus on customer-centric, digital innovation and transformation on a global scale, finding the disruption the industry is currently experiencing and the shift from an infrastructure management orientation to being a relevant player in the urban mobility ecosystem absolutely fascinating. She used to teach International Marketing at ESADE and has recently completed a Global Master in Digital Transformation at ISDI, including bootcamps at Harvard and Silicon Valley.
CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ METODI AVRAMOV Metodi Avramov is Director Strategies, Innovations and International Projects of Sofia Urban Mobility Centre. He has been involved in all phases of Sofia’s public transport automatic fare collection system over the past 12 years. Metodi is currently responsible for the development and implementation of urban mobility projects and programmes for Sofia Municipality and Sofia Urban Mobility Centre. These projects are related to economic, social and environmental aspects of public transport and mobility.
CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ IGOR DULA Igor Dula was born in Bratislava, Slovak Republic. He studied Civil Engineering at the Slovak Technical University and received his PhD. in Urban Planning. He participated in a long-term stay at UBC Vancouver and a Senior Airport Management Course in Canada. He started his professional career in the Slovak Town Planning Institute, later he was appointed Director of the Institute of Traffic Engineering, in Bratislava, Slovak Republic. In 1994, he was appointed Director General of the Slovak Airports Authority and in 2001, Director of the City Parking System, Bratislava. Currently he works as an advisor to the Slovak Parking Association and the Local Government in Bratislava and as well as vice-president of the Slovak Association of Civil Engineers. He is author of articles and presentations in the field of parking. His leisure time interests include tennis, alpine-skiing, golf and bridge - in the Slovak League and internationally.

CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ SHAWN CONRAD Shawn Conrad, CAE is Chief Executive Officer of the International Parking & Mobility Institute (IPMI). He earned a sterling reputation as an association leader in a number of industries over 20 years before joining IPMI in 2008. CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ MAXIMILIAM STARK Maximilian Stark studied industrial engineering at RWTH Aachen University and Tongji University in Shanghai. After successfully completing his studies, Mr. Stark initially worked as a research assistant and later as a group leader at the Department of Production Systems of the Machine Tool Laboratory WZL of the RWTH Aachen. In addition, he worked as a consultant and team leader at the WBA Aachener Werkzeugbau Akademie GmbH. In 2018, Mr. Stark joined e.GO Mobile AG and took over the position of Senior Manager Mobility Solutions. There he dealt with innovative mobility concepts for the urban and suburban area. Since February 2019 he is co-founder and managing director of e.2GO GmbH. With her 25 plus years collaboration for Italian Railways Group, holding different roles in several companies, she possesses a unique balance of technical, operational and management experience within the domains of urban planning and design, real estate development, interchange nodes, passenger stations, parking and mobility. As a lawyer , through all these years she has been advising to many companies whose activity is related with parking and mobility; she has an expertise in Public Law Practice, which qualifies her advice at tender proceedings and the performance of public contracts for public infrastructures (parking's), contractual disputes, relationships between Administration and concessionaires, and nearly any legal question related to this specific business.
CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ OLIVER ASSELIN Olivier Asselin currently works on parking policy at Lille Metropole (MEL). His role is to develop and promote a global view on parking as a structural stake in mobility, urban planning, public space… Olivier chairs parking working groups for POLIS, and for the AITF (Municipal Engineers’ French Association), developing a national and european network of public parking experts. He participates in national reflections and trainings about different parking issues, such as urban planning, parking for disabled, decriminalization, and has been recently involved in the French university journal “Transports Urbains”. His presentation will focus on parking norms in urban planning in France, regarding MEL as a study case. He will develop minima and maxima issues for resident and working places, with the idea to interrogate the need for norms.

CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ PHILIPPE CRIST Philippe Crist is Advisor for Innovation and Foresight for the International Transport Forum (ITF) at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). His work focuses disruptive urban mobility scenarios, including automated driving, and examines how car-based and active mobility, public transport and taxis must adapt to these. He leads ITF work on data science how to leverage new and rapidly growing data sources to improve transport decision-making and is investigating how policy and regulation might adapt to an increasingly algorithmically-driven world. His work also encompasses helping public authorities think about how public space allocation, including curb management, will change under new travel practices and business models.

Having studied Journalism in the Complutense University in Madrid, Spain, he has over 25 years of work experience, mostly as General Manager in several professional publications and internet portals aimed at sectors like energy efficiency, logistics, sustainable construction and sustainable mobility. He also has extensive consulting experience in the e-mobility sector.
CONFIRMED SPEAKER_ XAVIER CASTELLSAGUÉ Xavier Castellsagué has a degree in Industrial Engineering by “Polytechnic University of Catalonia”, Barcelona 1998, and a Master in Business Administration at the “ESADE Business School of Barcelona, 2003 (MBA Part Time). He has also a Master in Management and Organization of Industrial Factories (Barcelona 1999), a degree in Global Management (Barcelona 2005), and a Master in Smart Mobility (Barcelona 2012). He started working for TOYOTA assuming several responsibilities such as planning and logistics, the quality assurance department and last the management of the Rental Business Unit in 2001. Later on, he joined BARCELONA MUNICIPAL SERVICES and after assuming several roles since 2010 he is the Barcelona ON STREET PARKING Mgr. During these years he has collaborated several times with IESE Business School explaining the “Digitalization of the operations case of Barcelona” and also helping the students of the MBA about their innovative projects proposals for the future smart connected mobility.

He has extensive local authority experience, as well as in the consulting engineering sector, and has been working for the Department for Transport for over 20 years. Graham currently leads the Smarter Traffic Management team which is responsible for funding and developing innovative traffic management, including smarter parking, with English local authorities and for delivering the Local Transport Data Plan

OPM (CEO`s program) from Harvard Business School since 2019 and BA Business Management and Marketing at ESIC as well as BA from Business Administration at UCM. He founded Gamma Solutions in 2002 and he has grown the business from its initial Telco division to its international expansion founding the holding group Diggia. He has been also key in foreign alliances with investors, public institutions and industry peers to achieve Diggia’s Business plan. Driving the strategy, corporate finances and the execution of all the Diggia Group activities, his vision has allowed Diggia to expand into new markets and sectors. The strategic push has made him recently create Wenea, the latest division within the group with the aim of offering energy services for EV charging.
