THE ACADEMY The Juventus Youth Academy has been recognized as one of the best Academies in Italy for producing young talent, with many graduates going on to play in top divisions in Italy. All the Youth Academy teams train at the club's main training ground called Juventus Center, located about 9 miles southwest of Turin. Many notable players have come up through the ranks at Juventus to play on both the first team and the full Italian naEonal team like Alessandro del Piero. THE CLUB Juventus F.C. is the one of the biggest clubs in Italy, located in Turin in northern Italy. It has the biggest fan base in Italy and one of the largest worldwide. Juve, as the club is referred to for short, was founded in 1897 and is the most Italian side in the 20th century boasEng 52 domesEc trophies, 2 Champions Leagues Etles, 1 European Winners Cup, 3 UEFA Cups, 2 European Super Cups, 1 UEFA Intertoto Cup. The club is home to internaEonal superstars like Gigi Buffon, Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain.
THE ITALIAN FOOTBALL FEDERATION The F.I.G.C., also known as the Italian Football FederaEon, was founded in 1898. It is the governing body of Italian soccer and organizes the professional divisions of Italian soccer, as well as the Italian naEonal soccer teams. The primary training grounds are located at the F.I.G.C. headquarters in Coverciano in the hills of Florence, Italy. The state of the art faciliEes include five turf and grass training pitches, one futsal pitch, a sports hall, an ultra modern gym, lecture halls, hotels and restaurants for players and guests. Gli Azzurri (the blues), as the Italian naEonal team is known, referring to the blue color of their main uniform, is one of the most successful naEonal teams in World Cup history, garnering four World Cup Etles. Some of the most legendary footballers of all Eme have come through the doors of the F.I.G.C., including arguably the best goalkeeper of all Eme, Gigi Buffon; free kick specialist Andrea Pirlo; and Italy’s most notorious strikers Francesco To^ and Alessandro del Piero.
