Jeopardy Trivia April 2021 There are six categories with six questions in each category, followed by a Final Jeopardy question. The categories are: • Day Time • Show Your Age • Movies by the Numbers • Semper Fi • Happy Birthday, April Baby • It Happened One April
What is noon? Midnight is also neither a.m. nor p.m. A.m. stands for ante meridiem, which means “before noon,” and p.m. stands for post meridiem, meaning “after noon.”
What is Friday? The days in alphabetical order are Friday, Monday, Saturday, Sunday, Thursday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Day Time ($400) In the summertime, countries that experience daylight throughout the day and night are called “the land of [this] sun.”
What is midnight? For a few days in the summer, portions of Scandinavia, Canada, and Alaska experience daylight throughout the day and night. Some of these places see 20 hours of sunlight for two months during the summer.
What is Europe? It was enacted during World War I. The United States enacted it during World War II.
Day Time ($800) This continent in the southern hemisphere goes without daylight during its winter months.
What is Antarctica?
Day Time ($1,000) This day of remembrance, which falls on November 2, is the biggest religious holiday in Mexico.
What is Day of the Dead? People clean the gravesites of their relatives in anticipation of visits from loved ones on this day. It’s considered a day of celebration rather than mourning.
Show Your Age ($100) Age goes before this.
What is beauty? Although “age before beauty” is mostly used humorously today, many still follow the time-honored tradition of allowing their elders to go ahead of them.
Show Your Age ($200) I was born during the day, but I wasn’t born on this day.
What is yesterday (or similar?) It’s also said, “I was born at night but not last night.” The expression is used to show that someone is not naïve. It originated around the 18th century.

What is their prime? Most athletes and models “age out” at a relatively young age.

What is underage? For example, underage people are not allowed to drink.
Show Your Age ($1,000) A senior who feels young and acts young is said to be young at this.
What is heart? Young at Heart is the title of a 1954 film and a song from its soundtrack.
Movies by the Numbers ($100) The character Phileas Fogg went around the world in this number of days.
What is 80? The 1956 film Around the World in Eighty Days has an ensemble cast including David Niven, Shirley MacLaine, and Charles Boyer. Phileas Fogg was Niven’s favorite role.
Movies by the Numbers ($200) The ever-popular 1947 Christmas movie starring Maureen O’Hara and John Payne is about a miracle on this street.
What is 34th? Miracle on 34th Street is the story of a man who calls himself Kris Kringle and claims to be Santa Claus. He is taken to court over the claim.
Movies by the Numbers ($400) In the 1975 film, this number flew over the cuckoo’s nest.
What is one? Two of the most memorable characters in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest are R.P. McMurphy (Jack Nicholson) and Nurse Ratched, also known as Big Nurse (Louise Fletcher). People today call overbearing nurses Nurse Ratched.
Movies by the Numbers ($600) Marilyn Monroe stars in the 1955 film about this itch, which is often associated with the number of years it takes for a marriage to disintegrate.
What is seven year? The Seven Year Itch follows a New Yorker who sends his family to the country for the summer while he remains in New York and is attracted to his neighbor.
Movies by the Numbers ($800) The 1997 film Murder at this number indicates it takes place at the White House.
What is 1600? The address of the White House is 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Murder at 1600 stars Wesley Snipes as Detective Regis.
Movies by the Numbers ($1,000) This 1987 film is about this number of men and a baby.
What is three? Three Men and a Baby is the story of three roommates, played by Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg, and Ted Danson, grappling to take care of a baby who is left on their doorstep.
Semper Fi ($100) Semper Fidelis means this.
What is “always faithful” (or “always loyal”)? It’s the Marine Corps motto and is used as a greeting and a parting word. It’s also a final send-off for a fallen Marine.
Semper Fi ($200) The U.S. Marine Corps falls under this military department.
What is U.S. Navy? It is its own branch, but it does not have a separate department under the Department of Defense. Marine officers train at the Naval Academy. During World War I, the Marines fell under the authority of the U.S. Army.
Semper Fi ($400) U.S. Marines train at one of these two places.
What is Parris Island, California, or San Diego, California?
Semper Fi ($600) This is the youngest age at which someone can enlist in the U.S. Marines.

Semper Fi ($800) True or false? Only U.S. citizens can enlist in the Marines.
What is false? Foreign-born non-U.S. citizens with green cards may enlist. Officers must be U.S. citizens.
Semper Fi ($1,000) Early U.S. Marine enlistments took place in this public place.
What is a bar, pub, or tavern? The first enlistments are said to have taken place in 1775 in Tun Tavern in Philadelphia.
Happy Birthday, April Baby ($100) Born April 3, 1942, this Las Vegas legend first became known for his hit single “Danke Shöen.”
Who is Wayne Newton? He first performed in Las Vegas in 1958 while he was still in high school. He’s been performing for live and TV audiences for more than 60 years. He is currently performing at Caesar’s Palace.
Happy Birthday, April Baby ($200) Born April 26, 1933, this comedienne’s signature song on her variety show is “I’m So Glad We Had This Time Together.”
Who is Carol Burnett? The Carol Burnett Show won 25 Emmy Awards.
Happy Birthday, April Baby ($400) Born April 21, 1926, this is the longest-reigning constitutional monarch in Britain.
Who is Queen Elizabeth II? The queen ascended to the throne February 6, 1952. She became the heir apparent when her uncle King Edward VIII abdicated and her father King George VI stepped in.
Happy Birthday, April Baby ($600) Born April 3, 1922, this singer and actress had an eponymous sitcom and starred in With Six You Get Eggroll, Pillow Talk, Send Me No Flowers, Teacher’s Pet, and many more films.
Who is Doris Day? Her leading men included Brian Keith, Rock Hudson, Rod Taylor, James Garner, and other A-list celebrities. She also founded several animal welfare organizations.
Happy Birthday, April Baby ($800) Born April 5, 1900, this actor is believed to have had a long-term affair with Katharine Hepburn.
Who is Spencer Tracy? They starred together in nine films, and their relationship spanned three decades. It has been rumored the two served as the inspiration for the Sam and Diane characters in Cheers.
Happy Birthday, April Baby ($1,000) Born April 23, 1939, this actor played Heath in The Big Valley and starred in The Fall Guy and The Six Million Dollar Man. He was once married to Farah Fawcett.
Who is Lee Majors? He played a bionic man in The Six Million Dollar Man.
It Happened One April ($100) Every April 1, we celebrate this unofficial holiday.
What is April Fools’ Day? According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, “The term ‘All Fools’ was probably meant as a deliberate stab at All Saints Day and All Souls Day.”
It Happened One April ($200) On April 5, 1887, Annie Sullivan, dubbed “the miracle worker,” had a breakthrough with Helen Keller. It was on that day that she helped Helen learn this word.
What is water? Nouns were easy for Helen to understand after that, but verbs were much harder because they involved an action. Did you know Sullivan was also visually impaired as a child but regained some of her sight after surgery?
It Happened One April ($400) On April 5, 1992, this once-richest man in the world and founder of Walmart died.
Who is Sam Walton? The first Walmart opened in 1962 in Rogers, Arkansas. By 2010, it was the largest company in the world. President George W. Bush honored Walton with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Today, Walmart’s online distribution competes with Amazon and offers two-day delivery.
It Happened One April ($600) On April 3, 1995, she became the first woman to preside over the U.S. Supreme Court, filling in for Chief Justice William Rehnquist.
Who is Sandra Day O’Connor? She was also the first woman appointed to the Supreme Court.
It Happened One April ($800) On April 30, 1789, George Washington was inaugurated in this city.
What is New York City? Thomas Jefferson was the first president to be inaugurated at the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. Subsequent presidential inaugurations have occurred in various locations.
It Happened One April ($1,000) On April 27, 2005, the maiden flight of the A380, produced by this European consortium, took place.
What is Airbus? It was the aircraft’s first test flight, and it’s still the largest commercial aircraft in the world. It would have been a failure if not for the huge order by Dubai-based Emirates (airline). Airbus will end A380 production in 2021.
Final Jeopardy This magazine publishes an annual list that ranks the 500 top companies in the United States.
What is Fortune? The list, known as the “Fortune 500,” includes public and private companies and ranks them by total revenues. The magazine publishes other lists, too, such as “World’s Most Admired Companies” and “100 Best Companies to Work For.”
