CyderPress ~ 4 Tribute to Reg Martin It was with much sadness we heard of Reg’s death after a hard fought battle with Cancer. Reg was a sterling supporter of Somerset DA he worked tirelessly on committee as PRO promoting and supporting the DA. Reg and Kath came as a team supporting our THS at Brassnocker and The Beehive, offering a hand and advice with a wealth of information from his many years of camping and caravanning. The 3 counties show at Malvern is on 18-20 June which is the same time as Rectory Farm. The Christmas party 2020 has been rebooked for 2021 at Keinton Mandeville with the hall deposit being carried forward. I have cancelled the AGM meet at Henstridge in accordance with Club directive and this will now be held virtually (detailed elsewhere in this issue). Robert Temperance Temperance Lady: Do you drink beer? Drinking Man: Yes. Temperance Lady: How many per day? Man: 3 Lady: How much do you pay for a beer? Man: About £3.60 Lady: How long have you been drinking? Man: about 20 years. Lady: 3 beers a day equates to £330 per month or nearly £4,000 per year. In 20 years that would add up to £80,000 Man: sounds about right. Lady: Did you know that if you put that into a savings account, after interest, you’d soon have enough to buy a small plane? Man: Do you drink beer? Lady: No, of course not. Man: So where’s your plane?
CyderPress ~ 7 Two cowboys are lost in the desert. One cowboy sees a tree that’s draped in bacon “A bacon tree! We’re saved” he says. He runs to the tree and gets shot. It wasn’t a bacon tree, it was a ham bush. CYDERPRESS There are 2 issues of Cyderpress; one printed, one digital. If you would rather get the other type, email me at newsletter@somersetda.co.uk, tell me which issue you would prefer and I will switch you to that for the next issue. Andy Jokes Some of the jokes for this issue were supplied by Robert Harrisson and Keith Dyer. For the rest, you can blame me. Andy I’m going to hang a map of the UK in my house. Then I’m going to put pins into all the locations that I’ve travelled to in my motorhome. First, I’m going to have to travel to the top two corners of the map, so it won’t fall off the wall. The vicar called in the other day, he asked if I ever wonder about the ‘Hereafter’. “I do,” I said, “constantly. Wherever I am, the thought keeps coming to me; Now what was I here after?” BREAKING NEWS Someone has collapsed on the London eye, Paramedics on the scene report that they are coming around slowly. I came close to winning the lottery this week.......the bloke next door won it.
