Introduction - CPO Course Requirements
Security Educational Systems (www.inkwetraining.co.za) proudly boasts specialist training for Close
Protection Officers. Through a comprehensive and dynamic system of training, we ensure that top class
standards are maintained.
During the training program, trainees undergo vigorous training both mentally and physically to prepare
and familiarize themselves with protective services.

                                                  Training Centre

Our training centre is conveniently situated in Roodepoort Gauteng and has access to tactical firearm
ranges with outdoor facilities.
Situated in Roodepoort, we are on a main road, Ontdekkers, only twenty minutes from Johannesburg.

Security Educational Systems’ approach to Protection & Security Training

Security Educational Systems only utilises specialists in their respective fields to provide specialized
training. This in turn provides clients with a distinct advantage over their competition. All our instructors
have internationally recognised qualifications and are experienced assessors and field operators with years
of experience in protection, security and related fields. Our methodology is based on identifying the
strength and weakness of trainees and then concentrating on strengthening their weak points.
Through a proven method of instruction, trainees are moulded into professional Close Protection
Officers. During the training program, trainees endure realistic scenarios and hardships in order to
prepare them for tasks they will perform when providing protective services to clients.

                                             Close Protection Officers

The modern-day Close Protection Officer (CPO) can no longer wear a black suit and carry a gun to be
active in this highly specialised industry. Since the modern CPO spends a great deal of time with their
client, they need to carry themselves with an air of professional authority, which can only be gained
through realistic and systematic training. The modern CPO is a security specialist proficient in all areas
related to protection. He or she must be as functional on the shooting range as at diplomatic functions.
When a CPO is assigned to a high-level client, he/she must not only assume the risks of that client but must
also becomes a representative for that client. Therefore, the actions of the CPO are considered as a
reflection of the client.
