KY FINANCE BOARD 2018 President and Vice President Jussi Takaneva, President Jussi is a 4th year student originally from Järvenpää. Before taking the role of President, he has gained experience in management consulting, academia as well as private equity. Having played football and poker in his youth, Jussi has a passion for games of all sort. In 2018, he will surely brush up his old skills in the various events of KY Finance. As the President, Jussi is responsible for the strategic development and stakeholder management of KY Finance. Furthermore, he is responsible for steering the board in the right direction in both day-to-day operations and long-term planning. Jussi is the main responsible for the KY Finance London Investment Banking Trip. Kim-Jonas Pellikka, Vice President Kim-Jonas is a 4th year student hailing from Lahti, the city notable of its vast amount of Finance students. He just finished his investment banking internship and will explore both management consulting and private equity in 2018. In his free time, Kim-Jonas can be spotted from ice-hockey halls around Southern Finland, where he is often judging games as a referee. As the Vice President, Kim-Jonas is responsible for managing day-to-day work with Jussi, handling corporate relations and co- planning the development of KY Finance. In addition, Kim-Jonas is the co-organizer in both KY Finance Poker Tournament and KY Finance Business Golf.
KY FINANCE BOARD 2018 Treasurer and Alumni Relations Manager Valtteri Viitala, Treasurer Valtteri is a 4th year student originally from the notorious city of Kerava. Currently, he is pursuing his Master’s degree and learning the secrets of corporate finance via part-time job. He will also explore the field of debt capital markets in fall 2018. Valtteri is an easy-going but precise person who is actively seeking for new challenges and adventures. In his spare time, he likes to do a lot of sports, especially hockey, tennis and gym. As the Treasurer, Valtteri is responsible for budgeting, financial planning, invoicing and managing cash flows. Furthermore, he will show his true cards by being the main responsible for the legendary KY Finance Poker Tournament. In addition to contributing to overall development of KY Finance, he will be often acting as a lender of last resort during the glorious after parties. Paul Rintamäki, Alumni Relations Manager Paul is a 4th year student from Helsinki. He spent year 2017 travelling in Asia during his exchange semester in Singapore, learning the secrets of management consulting and developing his skills in investment banking. Paul has also experience in private equity and is a passionate learner of academic side in finance. Paul is a ferocious reader who loves engaging in discussion about subjects relating to practically anything. He also enjoys sports, travelling and developing new skills that keep him busy. As the Alumni Relations Manager, Paul sits in the board of AFA and is the person behind the day-to-day operations of Aalto Finance Alumni. His goal is to enable our finance student a smooth transition of to work life and keep them engaged in the community after graduation.
KY FINANCE BOARD 2018 Portfolio Manager and Faculty Relations Manager Sami Meha, Portfolio Manager Sami is a 3rd year student originally from the Eastern Finland’s financial centre of Kuopio but raised in the sunny beaches of Spain in addition to Mäntsälä. Sami has just wrapped up his banking internship and in 2018, he will be exploring the worlds of both private equity and equity derivatives trading through internships. As the jack of all trades and master of none (when it comes to ball games), Sami is always up for e.g. a tennis match. Apart from following closely the markets, Sami also tries to read a good book once in a while. As the Portfolio Manager, Sami has the responsibility of generating alpha for KY Finance’s investment portfolio. He will also be handling communications and contribute to organizing various events in 2018. Elina Sertti, Faculty Relations Manager Elina is a 4th year Finance student from Helsinki currently pursuing a Master’s degree. Before this position, she engaged on the challenges of strategy consulting, and will also pursue internships in investment banking and private equity during the year of 2018. However, if none of those career paths happen to come about, she might consider becoming a semi-professional champagne taster. On her free time, Elina enjoys running, travelling, museums and indulging on some fine dining (and wining). As the Faculty Relations Manager, Elina is responsible for the interaction with the Faculty of Finance to make sure that the voice of the finance student is heard in study-related decision-making. KY FINANCE BOARD 2018 Board Members Ben Laszlo Ben is a 2nd year student. Despite the name, he is Finnish - his father's family roots just happen to lead to France and Hungary. As a Board Member, Ben will be giving his input in various different events during the year and spreading the word of KY Finance onwards. The last two summers Ben has had the opportunity to gain experience from the anti-money laundering and anti-corruption functions. Currently he is gaining experience in marketing activities. In his free time, Ben spends time with his girlfriend, family and friends and also hits the gym from time to time. Stella Soirola Stella is a 20-year-old 2nd year finance student from Helsinki. Before joining KY Finance, she has gained experience with financial services in the field of retail banking. As a Board Member, she will be responsible for Top Females’ Dinner and Valuation after-exam mingling. Additionally, she will take a seat on the board of Aalto Finance Alumni. Stella is famous for her mind-blowing poker skills she got to show in the annual KY Finance Poker Tournament. However, in her spare time, she enjoys good books and doing sports rather than gambling. In the board of 2018, Stella is eager to get to know the people within Aalto finance as well as to devote herself in attracting more female students to the faculty. Otso Tenhunen Otso is a 4th year student from Helsinki. In addition to pursuing his master’s degree on finance, he is also studying mathematics “as a hobby” at the University of Helsinki. He has gained experience in M&A by working previously in corporate finance and is now aiming to tackle some strategic issues in management consulting during Spring 2018. This rather laid-back personality is also an eager sportsman and can sometimes be spotted at the highlight reports of KY’s notorious hockey team. As a board member, Otso is expected to learn the secrets of golf (get a green card) before organizing the annual KY Finance Business Golf. He is also looking forward to contributing to various other events and developing KY Finance.
