MockingBird School of Music Invites You to Sing Your Favorite Songs at the Hard Rock Café in Boston! It’s back and you’re invited! We’ve set the date to showcase MockingBird talent in a live performance, on-stage at the Hard Rock Café in Boston. We would like to share this opportunity with you! You are one of a select group of vocalists that we are inviting to a special informational meeting for this popular MockingBird program, now in its third year. The entire program is built around you, the vocalist. Our goal is to provide each singer with the opportunity to sing two songs accompanied by live musicians on-stage at the Hard Rock! Additionally each vocalist will sing back-ups on two other songs. Please accept this invitation so we may provide you with further details. The half hour meeting is scheduled for Saturday, April 6th at 11:00 am. Please go to www.mockingbirdschoolofmusic.com, click Hard Rock Singers, and let us know if you would like to participate and if you are attending the meeting on April 6th. (You do not need to attend the meeting to participate).
MockingBird Music at the Hard Rock Café Boston - 2019 Summary of the program: For: Singers - two song performances plus back-up vocals on two additional songs Where: The Hard Rock Café – Boston When: June 29th Noon-4pm Rehearsals: Three two-hour rehearsals Friday evenings on June 14, 21 and 28 Music : Complete backing bands provided Cost: $250 We have reserved the Cavern Club at the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston for Saturday June 29th from noon - 4pm. We would like to take as many of you as we can to perform with some of our best musicians at this concert for family and friends. In order to do this, we require that participants are available to rehearse on three consecutive Fridays: June 14, 21 and 28 in the evening. There are two time slots for rehearsals (either 5:15-7:15pm or 7:30-9:30pm). Kevin Byrne and I will be coordinating and running the rehearsals. The fee for the program is $250 per singer which allows you to perform two songs (one with a full band and one with a single accompanist). You will also have the opportunity to sing backing vocals on two other songs. We are looking for a mix of kids, teens and adults for this event. If this is something that you would like to do, and you are available for the dates mentioned above, please choose two songs from the enclosed list that you would love to sing at the Hard Rock. (In addition, you may provide two of your own suggestions - just remember this is a “Rock Show” - we like to keep things up-tempo). From your selections and/or suggestions, we will choose one to be featured as your full-band rock song. You are also invited to sing an additional song of your own choosing that will feature you and a single accompanist (either acoustic guitar or piano). Please provide us with at least two songs from which we can choose - these songs can be ballads or up- tempo. (This form is also available on our website if you prefer) Thanks Mark
