Pigeon Mini-Museum
HELP NEEDED for my PIGEON MINI-MUSEUM. I collect anything to do
with the history of pigeons. Old books, periodicals, stamps, artwork, figurines,
trading cards, cigar bands, old timers, plates, cups, vases, medallions, trophies,
diplomas, ribbons and my passion is collecting old bands. I welcome help with old
AU, IF, USA and CU bands for my collection. I consider any band 2017 and older,
no
matter if plastic or aluminum. I really like the old aluminum bands from clubs that
have the city embossed into them. Glad to save any part of pigeon history that you
may consider discarding. Glad to send you postage money rather than throwing
away old bands or other items. Thank you very much for helping.

Kids Corner HHHHHHH The IF Kids Corner made it's debut in 2016. We have had some activity, but hope to have much more in 2018. This new page on the IF website features stories of our club's youth. We are hoping to inspire all our young flyers to be involved in the sport of pigeon racing and have FUN. The International Federation takes pride in their youth members. Encouragimg our youth is the only way we can build our sport, and keep it flying. This page is for members to share their "youthful" experiences with everyone. Whether a story or photo is of you, your child, or grandchild, we hope you will share it as inspiration. The I-Com band is used to band youngsters in the same
manner as previous I.F. leg bands. The difference is, the
separately purchased Electronic Race Chip then clips onto
the I-Com band, leaving the other leg free for a second
band, if desired. The e-chip may be installed at anytime.
The cost of the I-Com band is 50 cents each, the same price
as regular stock bands. Stock bands and I-Com bands are
sold in Units of 25 bands for $12.50 plus $5.00 shipping. The
cost of 100 I-Com bands is $110.00, plus $8.00 shipping. All
I-Com rings may be ordered as your regular club

IF DATABASE Update!
Dear International Federation Members:
We would like to update you on the next step of our database project. The database has been growing gradually.
Numerous clubs continue to come on board and we welcome any feedback they may have.
In the near future, we will discontinue the mail-in award entries. All the award winners will be extracted from the
database. This means that if your club does not post its results in the database, you will not be considered for an
award. As such, we are strongly encouraging more clubs to participate in entering their results. As previously stated
in last year’s letter, this will benefit our members and our hobby in general by giving all qualifying members their well-
deserved awards.
Once the award formula is embedded into the database, we will post a newsflash into the IF website to let our
members know when this new process will take effect. So please keep checking www.ifpigeon.com for the latest
update on this development.

passed away. Faced with an empty house and a lot of
time on his hands Erik decided to try young bird racing.
Erik’s biggest thrill came at age 90. During the Summer
of 2016, Erik worked hard with his young bird team
and really concentrated on training. Despite his age, especially on shipping night. He is always ready to

Club. Although it was a sad day for Erik, many friends
came to the Auction not only to buy Erik’s beautiful
birds, but to say thank you to a true friend in the
sport. Erik made sure he even did the Auction right.
He handwrote a pedigree for all 27 of his birds and
attached their race record and diplomas.
Erik is a true gentleman. He is always polite, and
always has a smile on his face. He really respects
his racing birds and is gentle in handling his birds
