Article Californiyay! When Donna Powell, from Sussex branch, learnt the National Delegates Conference for Section USA was going to be in Sacramento, California, she had to go! Donna tells why. R eaders of Police World would have read that in 2013 I visited Washington DC for the friendship event celebrating the 50th anniversary of Section USA. I had such an amazing weekend meeting people from all over the world. So when I discovered that there was a conference in California I had to attend. The problem was that Sacramento was a long way to go just for a weekend so I needed to come up with a longer travel plan! People I had met on recent travels had suggested I must take a road trip from Los Angeles along Highway 1, Pacific Coastal Highway (PCH), to San Francisco, so this got me thinking... In DC last year I met IPA member Rich Duran. Rich had given me his business card and said if I was ever in LA he would happily host me. So I looked at flights and emailed Rich to see whether he could host me for a long weekend. He confirmed he could and even offered to pick me up from IPA friends from USA, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, Poland, France and Sweden the airport.
