´ SPEND WEEKS TRAVELING AROUND MEXICO from July 4 to July 29, 2022 ´ The iSummerMx Programs are an innovative academic option designed for International students who love traveling and learning about new cultures. They are four-week-long and were created with an itinerant schedule, that is, students will travel to different Tec de Monterrey campuses in different cities. This means that students will learn about different parts of the coun- try without ceasing their studies. Each Tec de Monterrey campus will organize special activities with field trips, company visits, and networking events that will make their experience unforgettable, by creating everlasting memories, ´ exercising their intellectual curiosity, and developing entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership skills in a multicultural setting. The programs are based on experiential learning so students will learn also outside the class- room by developing real-life collaborative projects with other students. Students will be embarked on Tec de Monterrey´s TEC21 educational model, an ambitious university-wide program to rethink education allowing flexibility as to how, when, and where students learn. Aeronautic Industry Program – Rising Aerospace Industry in Mexico This program is designed for students interested in acquiring the basic knowledge and skills to venture as young professionals in the aeronautic industry. Students will learn about the aeronautic industry ecosystem, key technological trends, and the relevance of this Mexican industry in the international setting. INTERESTING FACTS The world´s largest electrical harness plant is located in Mexico Mexico hosts one of the main commercial airplane interior design center. It is based in Chihuahua and belongs to the French group Zodiac Aerospace. Besides the USA, the largest turbine engineering design center is based in Mexico. It is part of the General Electric group and is located in Queretaro. You can find the largest Latin American manufacturing center in Mexico. It has more than 1,170 CNC´s and belongs to Honeywell.
´ Credits per course 3 credits 5 ECTS 8 Tec de Monterrey units Credit load of 6 credits 10 ECTS 16 Tec de Monterrey units the program (2 courses) Students will learn and advance their skills by taking 2 courses: M 2004 – Aeronautics Fundamentals (taught in English) ´ In this course, students will understand and will be able to explain the aerodynamic principles and flight mechanics. They will also learn meteorology concepts, aerial navigation, air travel control and telecommunications as well as the practical principles to carry out a flight. M 3041 – Aeronautical Engineering Project I (taught in English) ´ By the end of the course, students will be able to identify the design parameters and requirements that best satisfy the constraints of a multidisciplinary project. A project that integrates knowledge in the areas of mechanics, electronics, controls, and computing with the goal of finding an optimal solution applied to the aeronautical domain. Queretaro: Campus Querétaro is the fourth largest campus in the country with more than 7,000 students, of which 55% are from other states and more than 400 inter- national students from around the world. Queretaro is located in the heart of Mexico, just a two-hour drive from Mexico City. Its great location, modern infrastructure, diversity of people, food, and touristic places make the state one of the best destinations to visit. Queretaro is one of the safest, innovative, and state-of-the-art sectors in industrial production, education, and technology. Chihuahua: The campus opened its doors in 1976. Being located in the largest state of Mexico, in the northern region of the country, the magnificent scenery and unique com- bination of mountains, canyons, deserts, waterfalls, and fresh clean air provide a spectac- ular experience. Chihuahua´s international presence has grown from its collaboration and work in the aerospace and automotive fields, becoming one of the most important aero- space clusters in Mexico with more than 40 global companies involved.
´ Estado de México (North of Mexico City): It´s one of the larg- est campuses of Tec de Monterrey. It is located in the municipality of Atizapán de Zaragoza. It offers a privileged location by being near to all major Mexico City´s attrac- tions, manufacturing clusters, and sights that range from the breathtaking Teotihuacan Pyramids to the amazing buildings of the nearby Reforma area. GLOBAL BUSINESS PROGRAM In this program, students will be challenged to develop a creative Business Model Canvas for a business opportunity they identify, all based on the knowledge of the Mexican market and its culture for doing business. Students will live in four vibrant cities in Mexico. The Santa Fe district in Mexico City, the colonial city of Queretaro, the industrialized city of Leon, and the modern business and industrial center in Monterrey.

NI2006 – Doing Business in Mexico (taught in English) Students will learn about Mexican present time economics, political and trading struc- tures; compare different cultural patterns and business protocols and the historical bases of the Mexican economy and business models. Also, students will discover the differences in management styles between Mexican and foreign companies. Santa Fe: Located west of Mexico City and designed by the world-famous architect Ricardo Legorreta, Campus Santa Fe was built in 2001. Is one of the newest among other 25 campuses of Tec de Monterrey throughout Mexico. The campus is located in the Santa Fe area, the newest commercial and residential neighborhood that has become the greatest economic activity center within the Mexican capital. Leon: The campus opened its doors in 1978. Located in the center of the country, the city of Leon is famous for its leather industry which produces high-quality leather shoes and clothes. Throughout the year, Leon is host to international events like the Hot Air Balloon Festival and the Rally Race, amazing events that cannot be missed. Nowadays, Leon is also known for being one of the best automotive production clusters in the coun- try and for its nearness to Puerto Interior, one of the best industrial parks in Mexico and Latin America. Monterrey: The main campus of Tec de Monterrey is located in a modern industri- al and business center only 230 Km far from the USA border. The city, also known as “La Ciudad de las Montañas” (City of the Mountains), hosts a set of transnational conglomer- ates with 10 out of 20 of the most important Mexican firms. GLOBAL BUSINESS PROGRAM In this program, students will be able to discover their marketing potential and advance their professional competencies in a unique and experiential way. This program is designed for students who love traveling and learning about new cultures. Students will discover four of the most iconic states in Mexico, visit the Santa Fe district in Mexico City, enjoy the colonial city of Queretaro, go to the amazing Guadalajara, walk through historic places at Puebla.
Credits per course 3 credits 5 ECTS 8 Tec de Monterrey units Credit load of 6 credits 10 ECTS 16 Tec de Monterrey units the program (2 courses) Students will learn and advance their skills by taking 2 courses: MT1003 – Marketing and Creativity (taught in English) Students will be familiar with the field of marketing and be able to understand the factors that affect companies and their environment. They will understand the evolution of marketing from 1.0 to 4.0, creativity, information and market research systems, market segmentation, consum- er buying behavior, commercial markets, product development strategies, prices, distribution, and promotional mix. In addition, they will have to build a marketing business plan to face all the discovered insights around the marketing tourism environment of Mexico. NI2006 – Doing Business in Mexico (taught in English) At the end of the course, students should have a clearer perspective of consumer behavior, discovering marketing and inspiring insights in order to model consumption patterns under the new revolution perspectives 4.0. The students will build their competencies and become more society empathic, enthusiastic, curious about themselves and the people who live around them Also, they will be able to structure the information obtained in a significant theoretical frame, in which concepts and theories deriving from psychology, sociology, and anthropology need to be applied critically. Santa Fe: Located west of Mexico City and designed by the world-famous architect Ricardo Legorreta, Campus Santa Fe was built in 2001. Guadalajara is consid- ered a capital of culture, being the home of the well-known Mexican icons such as mari- achis, tequila, and charrería, all recognized as World Heritage by UNESCO.
