Location: Lanzarote, eternal spring Lanzarote is pure geology, underwater and moonlike sites, crystal clear waters, thirsty lands, palms' oasis, it is harmonic life of man and nature. Undoubtedly a land of contrasts. It is the easternmost island of the Canary Islands, it is identified by the great amount of volcanoes that cover it due to the great volcanic activity of the early XVIII century. An eternal spring, the average annual temperature is 21 ºC, adorns each day the blue sky of Lanzarote and in the evening, the sky is dyed in the clear light of the moonshine.
How to arrive To Lanzarote: Airport Guacimeta: Located 6 km from the capital, between Arrecife and Puerto del Carmen. Belongs to the municipality of San Bartolome. It is divided into 2 terminals: o the T1 for flights to and from the Peninsula (from where several companies like Air Europa, Iberia and EasyJet fly on a daily basis) and flights for the rest of the world. o The T2 for the inter-island regular flights (Binter Canarias, Canaryfly). When booking, you will be asked to indicate your order of preference. We will allocate the participants to the activities in order of preference, booking date and availability. The earlier you book, the better! Sunday, March 10th: Catamaran Sailing Adventure • Time for all the Adventure ticket holders to enjoy a day of sailing together in a gorgeous huge catamaran! Destination: the most famous beach of the island, Papagayo! Before and after the specific activities, all the participants with Regatta and Adventure Tickets will be together in all the social activities programmed, including welcome cocktail, pool party, dinners, prize awarding ceremony and final party!
All Together - Catamaran Sailing Adventure On Sunday, all the Adventure ticket holders will sail together in a gorgeous and huge catamaran, enjoying the sun, the wind and the incredibly unique coastline of Lanzarote. Destination: Papagayo beach, the most beautiful beach of Los Ajaches Natural Park. Once anchored at the beach, take a bath, dive (snorkeling masks and tubes provided), go for a ride in jet ski, or simply enjoy the sun and good music in the catamaran. Food and open bar will be provided (including refreshments, wine, beer and cava).
Option 1 - Road Adventure The Road Adventure ticket holders will explore the island, its mountains, villages and coast in vehicles that give the freedom and capture everyone's attention with their unusual appearance: trikes or buggies. On the way, there will be a stop to visit the spectacular Timanfaya National Park, one of the main attractions on the island, with its volcanic landscapes and sand-like lava rocks next to big and sharp boulders from black, to orange, to red. It is an experience you will not forget! Qualified personnel will accompany us to soar the roads along the coast, reaching even the highest viewpoints.
Option 2 – Try Scuba Diving For beginners, non certified divers: experience for the first time the wonder of being underwater. The instructor will begin by explaining how your scuba equipment works, and some of the basic dive theory and safety procedures. Once familiar with the dive gear, it’s time to put on the wetsuit and check out the fins and mask ready to enter the water. Your first dive will be in shallow dive area, still populated by many types of fish and it is not uncommon to see rays and angel sharks in the bay.
Option 3 – Underwater Atlantic Museum For certified divers: visit the underwater Atlantic Museum, officially opened in 2017 and now Lanzarote’s most popular dive site. This the first underwater sculpture park in Europe. The Museum consists of over 300 individually designed sculptures, focusing on themes including climate change, the refugee crisis, humanity and nature. The sculptures were made using pH neutral concrete, they have no negative impact upon the local flora and fauna. Over time, the sculptures change color and become covered with coral and biological growth, creating an artificial reef that is continually evolving.
Option 4 – Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Start the day at the SUP school, and get acquainted with a new way of exploring the ocean. This incredible sport can be practiced both with or without waves. In the first part of the journey, paddle along the cost of Puerto del Carmen in direction of the relaxed beaches of the west coast of the island. After a couple of hours of paddling, stop in a traditional local restaurant to enjoy the local tapas gastronomy, relax and recharge batteries to head back to the starting point. You made it!
Option 5 – Surf the Waves Lanzarote is considered one of the best spots in the world to practice surf! Start the day learning the specific warm ups, learn the safety rules, learn how to get past the waves, and finally how to ride them successfully! Learn different maneuvers, and practice, try, practice and try again. This sport is both addicting and energizing, you will not want to stop! Whether this is your first time or if you want to improve your technique, join and surf the waves!
