A hospice wedding “The staff helped my mother with a posy of flowers and makeup, flowers for the bride, and took family photos.” “The support and care my mother Mary received from Cranford was of the highest standard and made a very difficult time easier for my mother and us. My daughter’s wed- ding was just days after my mother passed away, but the initiative and thoughtfulness of the staff meant that my mother saw her in her wedding dress at the hospice, which gave my mother some joy and was very special for all of us. Turning second-hand goods into first-class care If you had driven past our Hastings sec- ond-hand store late last year, you would be forgiven for not knowing what was inside. After a successful pilot in 2020 and extensive training earlier this year, our Community Volunteers are now being matched with carers or patients who would benefit from receiving this additional support.
