Challenging Assumptions ACE Enquiry in Health Visiting – Anglesey Pilot “After the first training session I was a bit negative about it to be honest. I was thinking ‘oh great, more work’. But I just think it has evolved, as the process has gone along. The more you talk about it, our clients see how it affects peoples’ lives and they see how important the caregiver is. It inspires you, as a whole project. I was negative in the beginning but now I’m sold. I can see how useful this could be in all health settings.”

Key Messages Everybody and every organisation in Wales has a part to play. • There is a role for all of us, challenging ourselves to think ‘What can I do differently?’, and recognising what we’re already doing. • Little steps make big changes, we can change the narrative. • Creating an ACE informed Wales will bring benefits for everyone. Hyrwyddo a Champion & Challenge Herio dros Newid for Change
Key Messages It’s about “what happened to you”, rather than “what’s ‘wrong with you.” • We need to take time to understand what has happened to people, rather them blaming them for their behaviour. Hyrwyddo a Champion & Challenge Herio dros Newid for Change
