Hunting area 1 Otjiruze S 21° 46’ 21” | E 17° 21’ 28” Otjiruze ranch is held in family hands since 1924. It is located 90 km north of the international airport, in the middle of the 225 000 acre Swakop Valley Conservancy. The landscape in this enormous area spreads from wide open grass savannas to dry riverbeds and dense bushveld to rocky hills and mountain ridges. This diverse landscape and abundance of water is the reason for a huge quantity and variety of game species. find 8 well appointed, spacious rooms each with bathroom en-suite and modern appliances. Multiple non hunting activities such as swimming pool, horse riding, game drives and two tame cheetahs are there for you to enjoy. This makes Otjiruze the perfect destination for families or bigger hunting groups. Look forward to great Namibian delicacies complemented with excellent South African wines. For the meat lover we have the best steaks and game dishes with fresh salads and vegetables. The meals are served in our african Lapa. Hunting area 2 Schenckswerder S 21° 55’ 93” | E 17° 21’ 99” Schenckswerder ranch has a size of 6.800 hectares and is part of the Swakop Valley Conservancy. It is located approximately one and a half hours north of the international airport. Schenckswerders landscape spreads from wide open grass savanna to rocky hills and mountain ridges, crossed by the dry riverbed of the Swakop river. Enjoy the breathtaking view from the rocky hills while spotting mountain zebras roaming next to you. The special variety of game black and blue wildebeest will capture you with its beauty. Schenckswerder rooms each with en-suite bathroom and a veranda decorated in African style and colour. A spacious lapa with an enjoyable bar and a crystal clear swimmingpool will comfort a beautiful „Hunters Lounge“ with fireplace and dining area. Hunting area 3 | Little Waterberg (Okawaka) S 20° 39’ 43” | E 17° 7’ 54” Hunting on foot on 30 000 acres and on the plateau of the Little Waterberg is a true highlight in every hunters life. Within the breathtaking sandstone formation of the Little Waterberg mountain you will have the privilege to hunt rare antelope species such as Sable, Roan, Kudu, Damara Dik Dik, Klipspringer and even Nyala. Furthermore you will find one of the highest leopard densities within Namibia, resulting in huge males taken each year. luxurious double rooms each with en-suite bathroom. Perched half way up the mountain with endless views over the Omaheke desert you can enjoy unique African sunrises with your morning tea. After a successful hunting day you will be served cold drinks at the crackling camp fire, overlooking a busy floodlit waterhole. General Information Please note Trophy hunting is open from 01 February to 30 November each year. Minimum duration of hunt: 6 days Recommended duration of hunt: 7-14 days Family, Cuisine & Transfer as various activities next to hunting. On game drives, guided walks and horse riding trips the beautiful landscapes with its big variety of game species invites you to take photographs. Look forward to great Namibian delicacies complimented with excellent South African wines. For the meat lover we have the best steaks and game dishes with fresh salads and vegetables. We will personally pick you up and bring you back to the airport in one of our air-conditioned vehicles. You will enjoy our competent service from your booking until your trophies are safely at home. Vaccination All our Namibian lodges are malaria free and for central Namibia no vaccinations are prescribed. It is recommended that Polio and Tetanus are up to date. Weapon import We recommend renting one of our new Mauser M03 rifles in calibre .300 WinMag with Swarovski Z6i optics, as the airlines fees for rifle transportation can be quite expensive. Furthermore it makes travelling to Namibia easier for you. However, weapon import permits are issued upon arrival at the airport and it is an easy process. You will receive the weapon import application with your booking confirmation from us. Equipment Credit cards, cash, 2x green or camouflage hunting clothes, wind tight jacket, 2x casual clothes (daily laundry services), light worn in hunting shoes, hat, knife, sunscreen, lip and nose cream, insect repellent, photo- and video equipment, binocular, mobile telephone, spare glasses. Liability Please insure that your personal and travel insurance is adequate. It must be noted that hunting is a dangerous vocation. Although Otjiruze Safaris and the Rogl Family are committed to your safety, comfort and enjoyment, we cannot be held responsible for any accidents, illness or death and losses that may occur whilst on the safari. Travel modalities Passport (valid for at least 7 months, at least 2 blank pages left in passport). When travelling with kids you need the original birth certificate AND a certified english translated birth certificate OR an international birth certificate of your child. Flights Flights can be booked via your well known travel agent via Frankfurt (Germany) or Johannesburg (South Africa).
