Size: 5” x 6” Emily DeFreitas Grade 11 “The Room” This drawing focuses on one point perspective, which is a drawing created on a 2D plane that uses one point in the distance that everything in the drawing is drawn from. This achieves a realistic look to the drawing, looking as if there is actually a room there. Size: 9” x 12”
“E-Design Studios” For this project, we had to come up with a business card for a business we made up. I decided to come up with a design studio as my business and wanted to go for a modern but eye catching design for the card and logo. I based my design off of rainbow triangle-like shapes, incorporating this pattern into the card design and using these shapes and colors for the logo so it all ties in together as well. Size: 3.5"x 2" Emily DeFreitas Grade 11 “Water Animal Wrapping Paper” I wanted to create a wrapping paper that could be used for all occasions that was cute and visually appealing, so I decided to make a water animal themed wrapping paper design. The animals all have cute and simple designs that would be easy to implement on a wrapping paper, all sharing the same theme of being adorable and helping you celebrate occasions from their underwater homes. Size: 6” x 10”
Emily DeFreitas Grade 11 “Life in Space” In this art piece, I incorporated a poem into an image that describes the concept of the poem, making it look as if it were a page from a poetry book. The poem is about how life is incredibly similar to space, so the painting reflects space and the road of life we take. Size: 9" x 12"
Quinn Morgan Grade 11 I made this watercolor painting of a koi fish in the summer of 2020. It started off as a basic sketch with light lines. I used watercolor and added some shadows and a lily pad to fill some space. This is a raw photograph of my dog, Rusty. He's usually laying in the sun creating a lighting effect around his face or body. This lighting highlights some of his unique features such as his light blue eyes or the symmetry throughout him.
Quinn Morgan Grade 11 I captured this photograph at a lacrosse game using my t6 canon rebel. Was using my zoom lens and had the camera on sport mode. This photo is unedited. I made this in the summer of 2020 just to try things out on photoshop. I started off by taking a photo of my dog. I then made a duplicate of the photo, making one black and white and putting a filter of the other to make his eye the color in the photo above. Carefully, I traced out his eye from the color photo and put it over the black and white eye in photoshop.
Quinn Morgan Grade 11 The inspiration behind this piece was to provide awareness for mental health. While most times people look fine on the outside, nobody really knows what's going on inside of their head. The gray inside of the head is supposed to represent cloudy thoughts. The head is cracked and has a few common mental illnesses leaking out from it.
Isabelle Paquette Grade: 11 Stained Glass inspired Oil Painting: I began this project with a blind portrait. The piece consists of 4 faces which i drew without sight of paper and only looking at my reflection. Many say they have seen animals, I think its open to be whatever comes to your mind. I’ve always loved the aesthetic of mixing of shapes and colors, so in this piece I made the base of each shape a primary color and each overlapping would be a secondary color. This way, a space where a red and yellow shape overlap, that space would be green. This piece reminds me of the rugs in an arcade and the faces bring in a more contemporary and more Texture art: serious side, brining the Reverse pencil sharpener, the pencil shavings whole piece together. create dimension on the outside of the sharpener and show depth Size: 9” x 12” Size: 1” x 2”
Isabelle Paquette Grade: 11 Poetry Art Piece: This tray incorporates a collage of different magazine papers and dictionary words. The tray has a poem applied to its walls that read "Oh, to be a blue. In an ocean of yellow. Is change an option?" The piece features a paint bucket in the lower right corner with yellow paint in it and a section of blue in the upper left corner. This ties into the meaning of the poem. It questions that even if the pieces of blue were to be painted yellow, would they truly be yellow or simply appear yellow on the outside as to fit in with the rest of the collage. The piece also includes dictionary words: transfer, change, blue, and the prefix trans-

JORDAN POTOCKI Grade 11 BUTTERFLY BOX This clay box was made at the beginning of the year. It is 4' by 4' on all sides. The sides of the box are engraved with leafs that wrap around the box to look as if they are growing up the sides. On the top of the box is a flowers for decoration and a butterfly as a handle for the box. The color for the butterfly is darker then I would have liked but overall I love how the box turned out. It is perfect for storing little things like jewelry.

The Essence of a Flower Everlasting Dance In the intention of the perspective of a flower, I created an image using oil pastels that stained glass windows have inspired to create an idea of what a flower would appear if it were a being. But through this art allows the audience to witness the opportunity to take To represent and symbolize the kind of emotion provoked by dance, I intended in mind and respect nature before consuming its use for one’s selfish reasons. Because in the same manner, we often work with each other to give them carbon dioxide but to use oil pastels to reference the historic generations that dance had upon receive from them oxygen. A Fish in the Midst A Little Bit of Hope The Old Junk In preparation for Christmas, throughout the drawing, there lies meaning. The background takes place during winter, but the main center of the card is a dove that symbolizes hope and peace. Along with a quote by Saint Augustine saying, “There is no love without hope, no hope without love, and neither hope nor love without faith,” I chose this quote to represent the missing piece we need during these difficult times, and instead of negativity, we should look be more positive to hope for the bright sides and seize this opportunity of feeling love and hope during these times. Finally, the last representation is the dove’s feet. In the drawing, the dove has two different colored feet to represent that not only everyone is equal, but everyone in need of a bit of hope, love, and peace. To characterize the element of art of unoccupied space, I drew a solitary and free-spirited betta In the form of pointillism, the drawing fish onto a printmaking technique called linoleum was only composed of dots to create art that involves drawing a design onto the lino the image and scenery of the block and carve out the necessary lines that is abandoned old junk car in an isolated involved in one’s drawing to bring out a unique perspective that results from color and water. location. drawing forms
The Forgotten Beasts Old tales and legends tell the story of many mysterious beasts with abilities and appearances. Believed in much so, suddenly they are in hiding for fearing the horror of being spotted. But with time, often these once thought creatures are ignored and mostly forgotten. Thus, my understanding was to use watercolor and portray the remembrance of what this monster's life could have been like until they went to hiding. Therefore the landscape watercolor painting, from left to right, shows various wonders and types of beasts in a forest moving onto the sudden dark complexion revealing in today' nothing but an old memory. watercolor

This project was extremely enjoyable to do because it involved going so many places. I took photos of my friends and families dogs all over break. I took the best photos and put them all together to make a Josh Surdis collage of furry animals. I also edited the picture to give it a few themes. Grade:11 Dog Collage Clay Slab Box This is my favorite piece of art that I have created so far. This is inspired by my love of football, I tried to incorporate that into the clay box. The box has indented numbers all over it, the goal was to make the box look like a field. 4”x4”x4” 8”x 10”
For this project I could create anything inspired by stained glass and use pastels to color it in. I think this is one of my most artistically sound projects, because of how long I worked on this. I really enjoy nature so I Josh Surdis just made whatever would come to my mind. I made a few different versions of this and this was the one I liked the most. This is a image of some trees with a vine wrapped around it, Sprite Man with the sun shining down over it. This was one of the more fun The Amazon projects that I did all year. You could create your person how ever you want to. I used hot glue, a sprite bottle, pasta, fruit loops, paper towel, hot glue and corn kabobs. This took me about a hour to make, I hot glued all the materials all and let it dry one by one. 9”x 12”
Hatching City Portrait Josh Surdis To create this I used hatching, every object's hatching has to be at a different angle. I decided to make this because my family grew up in the city. I really enjoy this type of art because it looks really unique and you can create a lot of things out of it. 9”x 12”

Sammy Figueroa I title this painting “The blood of Victims” to portray those in our Black Community who have lost their life to systematic racism/police brutality. People in today’s society need to educate themselves on what it is to be black as well as black culture because if they are just going to do the bare minimum then they shouldn’t do it at all. This also points to private Catholic schools such as stang to educate themselves and be more aware and not so uptight.
Sammy Figueroa The title of this painting is “2020” I chose this name because I feel as though it portrays 2020 in a painting very well. Though this painting could have many meanings besides the heartbreak that this world has been through the past year. I made this painting to show the pain that this world has gone through but with making this painting the only intention I had was for people to be able to relate to this painting.
Sammy Figueroa I used the style of surrealism by the artist known as Salvador Dalí and I took inspiration from a painting he did called “The Hands”. I chose this painting of his because hands can portray a person’s message, In which I did for my painting on the previous page. I hope that my painting can be able to send a message to the audience or reveal a different perspective. This painting called “The Hands” by Salvador Dalí gave me the idea of using hands in my painting on the previous page.
