Burton Bradstock Leaving Bridport and travelling along the Jurassic Coast Road towards Weymouth, you come to the pretty village of Burton Bradstock, 3 miles along the coast. The village is well-known for its enviable position on the Jurassic Coast with its iconic sandstone cliffs and the rolling countryside that surrounds it. The village lies in the peaceful Bride Valley, close to the mouth of the River Bride, which meanders through the village and flows out into Lyme Bay. The village comprises of historic 16th and 17th Century thatched cottages along with a church, two village pubs, post office, farm shop, petrol station, convenience store, plus playing field and playground. Winner of Dorset’s Best Large Village in 2015, this is one of many awards won by the village for its beautiful upkeep. Lyme Regis & Charmouth Just a few miles west from Golden Cap Holiday Park you will find the charming town of Lyme Regis with breathtaking scenery and a special mystique. Its historic Cobb and harbour are iconic features and there is a rich history of fossil hunting, with the cliffs between Lyme Regis and Charmouth being amongst the best anywhere in the world. Bridport & West Bay In the very heart of West Dorset you will find Bridport and West Bay. With a fantastic reputation for quality food and art, Bridport has a friendly and vibrant culture. Weymouth & Purbeck A popular and vibrant seaside holiday resort, Weymouth has beautiful sandy beaches, spectacular coastline and attractions the whole family can enjoy.
