ABOUT HHTH At Hockey Helps the Homeless, we believe that every Canadian should have a safe place to call home and the supports that they need to thrive. To ensure all homeless Canadians have a fighting chance, we host Pro-Am Hockey Tournaments across Canada where players raise funds to make a direct impact in their own community. 100% of net proceeds stay local to reach the ultimate goal of ending homelessness. We need you. Together, we will end homelessness in the York HHTH is excited to get back on the ice and Region and beyond. celebrate our 25th Anniversary Season! OUR IMPACT IN YORK REGION Since inception, HHTH has granted nearly $20 million locally to our partner agencies. They provide a variety of services including emergency shelter, transitional housing, and mentorship programs for those currently experiencing homelessness of all ages and backgrounds, while aiming to create long term solutions to end homelessness across the country. 360°kids has been supporting at risk and homeless youth in York Region between the ages of 16-26 years old for the past 30 years. Funds from HHTH will go to fund the Transitions program. This is an Extended Transitional Housing program for youth aged 16-26 across York Region. At Transitions, youth pay an affordable rent which gradually increases over the duration of the 3 years that they are able to stay in the program for while receiving all the benefits the 360°kids support teams can provide. The funding assists with subsidizing the youth’s rent over the program as well as associated program operating costs such as the Program Coordinator. With this initiative, youth wouldn’t have to constantly worry about having a roof over their head while trying to lead a productive and healthy life. Founded in 1982 and the largest emergency housing provider in York Region, Blue Door provides life-saving support to our community’s most vulnerable. Blue Door is addressing the root causes of homelessness to ultimately lift people out of poverty and into stable housing. With the generous support of HHTH, Blue Door’s supportive housing program “Abode” will provide life-changing support to families experiencing homelessness. The program incorporates best practices from a Housing First approach by offering families up to one year of subsidized housing and support services. Throughout their time in Abode, a full-time Supportive Housing Case Manager empowers families with the supports needed to overcome barriers and find long-term housing stability.

YOUR SAFETY IS OUR HIGHEST PRIORITY At Hockey Helps the Homeless (HHTH), the safety of our participants, staff, volunteers and sponsors is our top priority. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve emphasized the need to keep that priority while still trying to raise funds for at-risk and homeless Canadians during this difficult time. As we move forward with our 2021 tournament season, we will continue to monitor the state of coronavirus and adapt our policies and procedures as the situation continues to evolve. As a measure of caution against COVID-19, Hockey Helps the Homeless requires that all participants, including players, pros, volunteers and HHTH employees for the 2021/22 tournament season be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and be prepared to show proof of vaccination on the day of the event. You are considered fully vaccinated if you have received two doses of a Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccine and 14 days have passed since your second dose. IN ORDER TO KEEP YOU SAFE, WE’VE 1. Now, more than ever, your support matters. Through this process, we will remain transparent with you and keep open lines of communication. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to HHTH’s Executive Director Andrew Gucciardi. The safety of our participants, staff and volunteers continues to be our main priority. Throughout the next two subsections, we will describe how we are committed to keeping that promise to you, and how we ask all our event attendees to do the same. Sub-Section 1: Safety Policies To ensure the safety of our participants, staff and volunteers, the following safety policies will be put into place. All participants and volunteers will be required to agree and sign off on the safety policies before attending the event (through the HHTH digital waiver): 1.
