Trump Turnberry - King Robert the Bruce Course (Additonal Cost) The course is named after the King of Scotland, Robert the Bruce, the historical warrior who led Scotland to claim its right as an independent country in the Battle of Bannockburn in June 1314. He was born in July 1274 in Turnberry Castle. The Turnberry Lighthouse now stands amongst the ruins of this medieval castle. Martin Ebert, responsible for the reborn Ailsa, had been commissioned to create what is a stunning sibling to the legendary Ailsa course. This world class golf experience thrills golfers of all abilities. Distinctive bunkering, visually attractive wetland areas and swathes of gorse all adds to the exciting challenges of this great links course. This 18 hole course has a par of 72, and, has 5 par 3 holes, a characteristic shared with the new Ailsa Course. Breathtaking vistas from the 8th 9th, 10th and 11th delight golfers, with spectacular views of Turnberry’s stunning coastline, castle ruins and the lighthouse. Royal Troon Golf Club - Old Course Founded in 1878 by a few enthusiasts, Troon Golf Club soon outgrew its purely local reputation. The Old Course today represents a stern golfing examination and in particular the inward half of Royal Troon is widely accepted as the most demanding of any Course on the Championship rota. Royal Troon has the shortest and longest holes in Open Championship golf. The world-renowned 8th hole, famously nicknamed ‘The Postage Stamp’ and pictured below, measures only 123 yards but is guarded by 2 cavernous bunkers, one of which is named ‘The Coffin’ .. enter in at your own peril! On the other hand, the 6th hole measures 601 yards and is the most challenging of par 5’s… Scottish golf at its finest. A 9-time host of the Open Championship, Royal Troon hosted the tournament in 2016, giving us historic final round between Phil Mickelson and Henrik Stenson-- a two-man race to the finish in one of the most memorable finals since the Duel in the Sun in 1977. Trump Turnberry - Ailsa Course Host to 4 Open Championships so far, the legendary Ailsa Course at Trump Turnberry has hosted some of the most iconic names in golf. Reborn in June 2016 at the hands of renowned architect, Martin Ebert, the transformation makes the Ailsa the No. 4 ranked golf course in Scotland. St Andrews Links - The Old Course The oldest and most iconic golf course in the world, the Old Course at St Andrews Links is known the world over as the “Home of Golf.” The sport was first played on these links as early as the 1400s and its’ extraordinary history has flourished ever since, including playing host to the Open Championship an incredible 29 times. The 700-year-old Swilcan Bridge and Hell Bunker are recognized across the globe, yet the greatest feature of the Old Course is that despite its’ grand status it remains a public golf course, open to all. Carnoustie Golf Links - Championship Course Carnoustie Golf Links sets the bar in so many ways, and most recently won the award for the 2018 Environmental Golf Course of the Year by the R&A. Boasting a new clubhouse and host of the 2018 Open Championship, Golf Digest ranked this course in the Top-100 in the world, at No. 21. Kingsbarns Golf Links Located a short 10-minute drive from the Old Course at St Andrews Links, Kingsbarns is one of the youngest courses Signature Golf has to offer. However, what it lacks in age, it certainly makes up for in class. One of the most spellbinding links courses in all of Scotland, this modern-day masterpiece has co- hosted the European Tour’s Dunhill Links Championship since 2001 along with the Old Course at St Andrews and Carnoustie. This most memorable “golfing work of art” overlooking St Andrews Bay. Fairmont Resort - The Kittocks Course The Kittocks Course has been designed by Bruce Devlin, a notable course architect of many famous courses including the King’s Course at Gleneagles and the exclusive Secession Club in Beaufort, SC. It’s a 72-par course spread upon 5600 – 7191 yards. The Kittocks is a long and challenging course, requiring nerves of steel to navigate its’ many holes running alongside the coastline. It’s famously played host to Europro Tournament 2007 and 2009 and Scottish Youths National Championship 2016.
