FOREVERMORE DANCE & THEATRE ARTS RECITAL 2022 INFO When is the Recital? The planned date of recital is June 25th. Traditionally, there are spacing rehearsals, dress rehearsals, followed by performances. We were very fortunate to produce such a beautiful recital last year. We even had a few upgrades like our live- streaming professionally-recorded event. We are continually planning for options at every safety level! COSTUMES Costume and participation fees are being distributed into 6 installments called our "Performance Package". Costume fees are collected and dispersed to the costume manufacturers who make our recital costumes. Costumes are made to order, which typically requires a 12-16 week lead time to cut patterns, sew, adorn and ship. Dance Studios across the world place their costume orders around the same time. In an effort to ensure that our costumes are delivered in time for recital photographs and an organized distribution to our students, costume orders are placed in November. Costumes arrive January- March and are tried on during class time to ensure a proper fit. Costume manufacturers do not accept cancellations or offer refunds; therefore the school does not refund costume balances. *We assume all dancer’s will participate in the recital. If you do not want your dancer(s) to participate, please notify Ms. Kris in writing at: ms_kris@forevermorearts.com prior to September 10th. Once Performance Package charges have been processed to your account they are non-refundable. 2 | RECITAL 2022
FOREVERMORE DANCE & THEATRE ARTS RECITAL 2022 INFO COSTUMES CONTINUED What if I’m unsure and want to order my costume late? Due to the impact COVID-19 has had on importsand exports , we cannot guarantee costumes will arrive on-time for students who order later in the year. We are ordering early to ensure we receive costumes on-time for this very reason. Generally late order costumes do not arrive before picture week so you would risk missing out on picture week as well. In addition, parents will be responsible for all expenses, including surcharges and postage for costumes that are ordered late. Forevermore is not responsible if costumes are not received in time for picture week or the recital due to late payments and late orders. How are costumes sized? We will be measuring dancers during their regular class time September 13-18. Please make sure your dancer is present, this generally takes less than two minutes per dancer. Dance costumes come in general sizes, like small, medium, and large, and depending on fabrics, we often add 2 inches to allow for growth in our youngest dancers. Because costumes are not custom tailored for each body type, sometimes small alterations are needed. We will have an Alterations Day on Saturday May 7. Alterations Day WHEN: 5.7.2022 WHAT: Stop in to have your costumes pinned and brought to the seamstress to make them show ready! WHY: Our goal is to make everything easy for you!
