Dear friends,
A couple of days ago, I received the message of a man who recently attended one of our
healing events on Prayer Mountain for the Nations. The doctors gave him only another nine
months to live. They diagnosed a tumor on his liver the size of a handball, and now – only
a couple of months later – I watched a video of this very man riding his mountain bike for
the very first time in two years. Since he came to our healing event, he doesn’t need to take
painkillers anymore. I vividly remember the night at the prayer house, when father and
daughter wept, because they couldn’t locate the tumor anymore.
The presence of God works miracles, sometimes in public, measurable, visible or
diagnosable, and sometimes inside where a hardened heart becomes soft or a hurting
heart is healed. No matter how or what, we always have reason to rejoice.
When God’s love works amongst us, everything is possible. »Let us love one another, for he
has first loved us.« (1 John 4:19) According to this, the first love isn’t any love that we show
to someone. The first love flows from God, our Father. Only after we have received from
him, we are able to pass something on – love, His love.
When it comes to remain in that first love (Rev. 2:4), I am challenged to first and foremost
embrace His love before anything else. After I have received, the quality of love that I show
to God and people surpasses by far any human-driven love.
It is our desire to set a sign of God’s overwhelming love with this »Unser Weg« (Our Path).
Our passion and driving force is this: God is love! That’s what we have experienced –
and we experience it over and over again. Because of this, we cannot be silent. We are
preaching this message nationally and internationally and see the wonderworking power of
God’s love in action all over the world.
You will read of what we are doing in Lüdenscheid and beyond – in Germany and in the
nations of this world. While talking about the nations: We have just decided to return to
publishing two newsletters - »Unser Weg« with news from FCJG in Lüdenscheid and »HELP
News« with news from abroad.

T his year was very intense for us as Wiedenhof community as well as for all of FCJG. In the end of 2018, we got
word that Arne Schulz, the leader of the Wiedenhof, had cancer. For six months, we gathered every Monday early
in the morning for prayer and fasting, holding on to the promise: Arne shall live and not die (Ps. 118:17)!
However, the promise has come to pass other than we believed and hoped: On May 20, Arne went ahead of us to be
with Jesus, and there he lives forever with Him! He has left a big gap in his family, in our community and in our rehab
house – but at the same time he has left a rich spiritual heritage with us. Arne demonstrated with his life the love
and mercy of the Father through which many people got blessed and enriched in their walk with God. Thank you for
your wonderful example, Arne. We miss you!
Since Arne went to be with Jesus, we are establishing the Wiedenhof team in a new way. Our leadership team makes
Richard Ehrenberg, Janina Mahrt and Katja Schulz, alongside with the staff Walter Widner, Martin Pfister and Sandra
Machek. To us this is a completely new situation and we face many challenges. However, in everything we sense and
experience God’s grace and faithfulness in powerful ways. He is our confidence and strength in everything. It is Him,
who leads people to the Wiedenhof who are seeking holistic healing. God in his love encounters them and we watch
them getting healed physically, emotionally and spiritually.
Even though we didn’t see physical healing breaking through in Arne’s life, we
continue to hold on to who God is: He is »Jahwe Rapha – the Lord who heals you«
(Ex. 15:26).
Julia (18 years old) has been with us for some time and has experienced a number
of healings: »Since I have come to the Wiedenhof, I got healed of bulimia as well as
of epistaxis due to past drug abuse. One night during worship, my ears got healed
without anyone laying hands on me. For years, I wasn’t able to hear well, and the
doctors prescribed hearing aids. I don’t need them anymore.
A couple of weeks ago, I bounced my hip and had to walk on crutches. When Marie

hold a position – he was rather a friend, a faithful brother, a passionate worshiper who was determined to follow
after Jesus to the very end. Arne, you went ahead of us and now you are seeing Jesus face to face. We are looking
forward to seeing you again.

We rejoice and are thankful from the depths of our hearts for everything that is hap-
pening in our worship services. All of this awakens a longing for more within us, for
God has promised to do miracles. Where God is, there is power – power to save, to
forgive as well as power to heal.
God is Healing
»I am your God, Jahwe Rapha – the Lord who heals you!« This word has stuck with us for quite a while. When
encountering God, we encounter love and healing in person. He does not only heal, God IS healing. This is his
name, and by this Jesus shall be made known again. How?
When Jesus commissioned us to go into all the world and to preach the gospel to all creation, he gave us a promise
on the way, »These signs shall follow those who believe: In my name they will cast out demons, speak in new
tongues …; they will lay hands on the sick and they shall get healed.« (Mark 16:15f) People shall not only hear
about Jesus, but experience his power. He has commanded us, his people, to take him and his word serious.
Taking God serious
God heals – I have known this since I was little. As a newborn baby, I almost died. The doctors didn’t know what
to do. However, my mother took God by his word. She laid hands on me and trusted in God … and after a while I
got healed. When I was a teenager, I almost ended up sitting paralyzed in a wheelchair. Again it was my mother

who didn’t give up praying, and God interfered. These incidents have released a hunger in me for healing to also
happen through me. Whenever I sense the Holy Spirit speaking to me, I lay hands on the sick, for God is still the

One of our lady ushers received a word of knowledge in our worship service. »The Holy Spirit showed me
the person the word was for. I approached her and shared only part of it. After a short prayer, she was quite
encouraged. I wanted to continue with my usher service, when the Holy Spirit reminded me, »Didn’t I show you
much more than what you said? Go back and tell her.« Goodness … It took all of my courage, I went back and told
her all the Holy Spirit had spoken to me. The word hit the mark and that night she experienced deliverance of deep
inner pain.«
The worship service was officially over and it was time to go home. A lady laid on the floor – very peacefully. The
Holy Spirit told one of our staff, »Go, sit beside her and lay your hand upon hers.« Okay … what next? »Nothing
next.« She sat beside the lady with her hand upon the lady’s hand. She would have loved to speak out all the
prophetic words, impressions, pictures, etc. she received, but the Holy Spirit said »No« to all of this. Thus she
simply sat there, quietly praying in tongues. About an hour later, the lady opened her eyes and said, »God said
that he is my Father; that he will never leave nor forsake me. I was anxious for the hand to be drawn, but it stayed
there.«
We want to see more people to encounter Jesus and experience his power – HE,
who IS love. HE who IS healing, and HE who gives new life!

W e are a bunch of young people who have reached out for quite some time on a regular basis to the youth in our
town. In the beginning of this year, during a time of prayer and fasting, God gave us a vision: He wants to create
a place in Lüdenscheid where young people encounter God. A place of evangelism and healing. A place where young
people find shelter and get new hope. Out of this vision, we started the Youth Café. We renovated, made the place nice
and prayed a lot, and for six months, the café has opened its doors every Tuesday night. We are excited and thankful to
see how God is using us to reach the youth in town with His love.
Dr. Charles Ndifon put it like this, »We were created to be a pipeline of his love«, and that‘s what we are: A pipeline of
God’s love. In and through this, God works miracles, heals and touches hearts. For example, we met a young man whose
legs were uneven in length. When we prayed for him, the shorter leg grew up to the length of the other. He was so
happy and could hardly believe what had happened. The 15 young people who were there with him and witnessed what
occurred were speechless! Then some minutes later a boy, who was at that time suffering from a slipped disk and was
unable to go to the gym because of it, approached us. We prayed for him, too, and he got healed completely! A Muslim
passed our youth café on crutches and after he received prayer, he didn‘t need them any longer! He was so excited that
we could do a video where he shared the healing that happened to him and allowed us to upload it on Instagram.
God is with us and confirms his word. Recently, we prayed and asked God for 1,000 EUR to make the café more known in
town through advertisement. Just a short time after, we received the exact amount we prayed for! Now many posters of
our place are being seen in the city buses here!
It is our desire to see miracles, signs and wonders increase in town and that even the newspapers start to talk about
them! We want to see the Youth Café become too small a place because of crowds of young people coming in to meet
God! We want to see a young generation getting saved – that‘s what our hearts are after!
»Faith is the key that opens every door in the kingdom of God.« (Donna Schambach) God also wants to move through
you! He wants to give you visions and ideas too big for a human mind. Be encouraged, because God WANTS to do that -
through you!

How long can a person stand on one leg? I made it for 3.31 minutes, and that it
is impossible to only walk on one leg, is obvious. Limping or jumping would be the
most. As much as it takes two legs to firmly stand or be able to walk, in the same way
it takes prayer and evangelism to merge.
»... but Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle.« (Exodus 33:11) Representative
for his generation, Joshua LIVED as a young man in the very presence of God. At this point, we find the cause for
all victories, God’s favour, courage of faith and the land taking we are reading about in Scripture. It’s my prayer
for today’s young generation, that they may live in that way before God, never leaving this deep and abiding
fellowship with Him. Johannes Facius made the following statement, »We are not going to see revival if the
fire of God is not burning on the altar day and night« - and I fully agree. This is the reason why we as a mission
community put such an emphasis on prayer – on abiding prayer! The victories in our lives, in Germany and the
nations, are birthed in God’s presence and no-where else. How will workers go into the harvest without asking
the Lord of the harvest for it? How shall we take nations as our inheritance without claiming them in prayer (Ps.
2)? How shall streams of living waters flow from us without drawing from the very well? There is an immediate
connection between prayer and revival, between God’s presence and living a life of breakthroughs, between
prayer and transformation of nations.
Prayer Mountain for the Nations is a dwelling place of God’s presence. Thousands have had life-changing
encounters with God here. In the beginning, we used a tank tent for prayer gatherings, and to this day people
testify of the intense presence of God in this place. Summer of Love alone (in the years 2003 and 2004) drew
45,000 visitors to our tent meetings. With the dedication of the prayer house in July 2005, God proceeded with a
new chapter of his presence on Prayer Mountain.
As community, we love to gather before God in on in this place and to welcome prayers from all over the world.
Besides big prayer gatherings, there are also individuals who come here to seek God. Like the two boys who
genuinely asked if they were allowed to climb the radio tower on our estate in order to get closer to God. Or the
globetrotter who is seeking God with all his heart. The spiritual leader who comes for a few days to spend time
in God’s presence. The Lüdenscheider who comes to find peace as well as innumerous others who have had
encounters with God here.
It’s a privilege for us to celebrate two anniversaries on the occasion of Burning Hearts Summer 2020: the 20th
anniversary of Prayer Mountain and the 15th anniversary of the prayer house. You are welcome to be part of a
summer of encounters with God, and to embrace healing for you and people with you who don’t know God.

to the end! You are shareholders in what God is doing here right
now and in the generations to come that will encounter God,

greatest commission the world has ever heard of, »Go into all

Driving on the motorway, I was passing Frankfurt airport. As always airplanes were approaching and as usual, I was
fascinated watching them. Suddenly, there was this familiar voice saying, »A hub – like Lüdenscheid!” Of all places
… Lüdenscheid – a hub?! The fourth largest airport in Europe in comparison to FCJG/HELP? I had to smile and at the
same time suddenly understood. It is true! When taking a closer look …
... some come, others go
... some take a break, get orientation, are in transit, move towards their destination
... some stay for a short, others for a longer period of time
... for some it’s their destination, for others a stopover
... it’s a home base for many, who set out together for the same destination
... people get guidance and a solid foundation for the next step
... things are evaluated, weighed, there are good-byes and welcomes
... necessary preparation and important information is provided
... both, anticipation and wrench go alongside each other …
All of this, literally and figuratively, makes HELP in Lüdenscheid – the home base of our international teams and
ministries in the nations.
Hub versus Cruise
Those, who are acquainted with junctions in big cities, are also familiar with the mostly predominant busyness of
such places. However, at HELP we want to prepare people for missions by providing a place of rest from all busyness
and to embrace God and his heartbeat for the nations in a deeper dimension by entering into God’s presence. This is
happening at missions weekends, during short-term outreaches, or while staying for some time at one of the mission
bases for those who want more.
We send co-workers, who know that they are called but are eager to see their calling being confirmed, as support of
HELP teams or as pioneering teams. And this marks the difference to the non-committing »chill feature« of a cruise:
some adventure, not too stressful, feeling good.
As a hub, we know about our purpose and commission. We are determined to give our best and want to win as many
people as possible for an exciting life following one goal and meeting God’s hearts desire:
»Go with this one goal into the whole world, to make disciples of all people! Preach the gospel to all! Lay hands on the
sick and heal them and cast out the demons!« (Mk. 16,15)
This year, many messengers of God’s love from three continents have been on the move with us … in China, Thailand,
the Philippines, Mongolia, the USA and other nations. Faces and names of 12 to 70 year-olds come up, who set out to
stir up the world – all moved by the love of God and the power of the Holy Spirit!
