Polarising issues which seem to repeatedly defy normal parliamentary decision making. We have elected representatives and publicly open select committee processes, which is meant to allow for thorough investigation of issues and sound decision making. Yet referendums have been demanded on each of these three issues, with abortion law reform the latest to see this call made.
