About the Visit and Your Pitching Opportunities The Royal Danish Consulate General in Dubai hereby invites you to participate in a Green Tech & Sustainability Visit and Trade Promotion Tour to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from the 30th to 31st of October 2016. The visit will be an opportunity for you to pitch your solutions to the main developers and stakeholders within the green sector in the Middle East, including e.g. Expo 2020, which focuses on sustainability. The UAE is facing environmental challenges. Rising economic growth and cheap sources of fossil fuels are among the reasons why the country has become the world’s second largest consumer of CO2 per capita. However, a green transition is on the rise. Massive investments in clean tech, sustainable energy and green solutions are part of the ambitious visions for Dubai Plan 2021, Expo 2020 and the Abu Dhabi 2030 vision. The Danish Minister for Business and Growth, Mr. Troels Lund Poulsen Only few places in the world have the economic capability to invest with such a drive as the UAE in order to become one of the leading countries globally in sustainability and green solutions. With the Danish Minister for Business and Growth Mr. Troels Lund Poulsen in the lead, the green delegation will explore, open and promote Danish business opportunities within the prevailing green sector. See the following pages for more information.
