Santa Rosa Symphony Andy Grammer Diana Krall Free Movies at the Green (Sonoma County, CA) — The Green Music Center at Sonoma State University announced today the Summer at the Green 2019 lineup, its seventh season of summer programming. The summer season comprises 12 performances at Weill Hall + Lawn, spanning the genres from pop and country, to jazz, bluegrass, R&B and more, plus the return of the popular Free Movies at the Green series. Green Music Center Executive Director Jacob Yarrow reflects, “Summer at the Green is always a unique experience, and this year may be our most exciting summer to date. The great musicians will combine with the beauty of Sonoma County for unforgettable concerts. We’re thrilled share this exciting summer of music, and to bring our region together through the shared joy of live performance.” During July, August, and September, the rear wall of Weill Hall is fully opened to reveal the beautifully landscaped and terraced Weill Lawn. Seating is available both inside Weill Hall, and outdoors in table and lawn seating, taking full advantage of unparalleled views of the Sonoma mountains. Lawn patrons are encouraged to bring blankets and low-back folding chairs and to pack a picnic or enjoy on-site concessions during the concert.
For all summer performances, lawn tickets are $25 to the general public, $10 for SSU students, and $12.50 for children ages 2-12. Tickets to Summer at the Green 2019 go on sale to Mastercard cardholders and 2018–19 GMC Season subscribers on Tuesday, April 16 at 10 a.m. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Thursday, April 18 at 10 a.m. Call 1.707.664.4246 or visit gmc.sonoma.edu. Pack a picnic and join us on Weill Lawn for a double feature of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and Captain Marvel. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is the first animated feature film of the franchise and follows Teen Miles Morsales as he transforms into the Spider-Man of his reality and attempts to stop a threat for all realities. Captain Marvel, the current top grossing film of 2019, is a must see. Follow Marvel comics character Carol Danvers as she becomes the universe’s most powerful hero and fights to save Earth from two alien races. Parking is $5. Roberto Tapia is one of the leading Norteño and ‘banda’ music interpreters, with a very special style, making him one of the most sought out artists of his generation. From Highway 101, take the Rohnert Park Expressway exit. Drive east 2.2 miles to the Sonoma State University entrance on your right. PARKING As you enter campus from Rohnert Park Expressway, there are multiple parking lots immediately to your right. Parking is free with your ticket to all concerts at the GMC. Lots L, M, N, and O are directly across from the GMC entrance. Arrive early for the best parking. Overflow parking is available on the SSU campus for patrons who arrive late.
