Farrugia, who won the 2021 School Based Apprentice in Hairdressing Certificate of Excellence!
Courtney is a school based apprentice in year 12 at Vincentia High, working part-time at The
Curly Mermaid Sanctuary Point, while completing her Certificate III in Hairdressing with Kiama
Community College.
We provide the largest Hair and Beauty training facilities locally, and offer a fully equipped,
simulated salon with top brand products. Our highly qualified and skilled trainers specialise in the
latest training packages and provide personalised and individually focussed support and training
for any level of experience.

fast-growing industry and this course will provide you with skills and

Outdoor leadership careers are available in a range of contexts

RISE stands for Rewarding Inclusive Social Education and the classes are designed to
support students living with disability to learn skills, have fun, socialise in a recreational
setting and to participate in the local community.
A range of class activities are provided to enable participants to increase their
independent living skills such as learning to cook. Participants also have fun being creative
with art and craft, playing games and going on social outings. RISE students are well
supported by qualified tutors and staff with qualifications in Disability Services. Classes are
held in the evenings at the following locations:
Dapto and Bomaderry on Mondays, Bomaderry on Tuesdays,
Kiama and Bomaderry on Wednesdays, Shell Cove on Thursdays.
If you have an NDIS plan and would like to use some of your available funds to participate
in these classes, or, if you are due to have a review of your NDIS Plan and would like to
know how to have funding included for the RISE Program, please get in touch.
