Step Up With Otago (SUO) Training Workshop MAY 2019 About The Course: Speakers: This workshop aims to provide participants with an understanding of the rationale behind the Otago Faezah Ghazali Exercise Programme (OEP), an evidence-based fall Senior Physiotherapist prevention programme for older adults. Occupational Therapists’ Role In Returning To Drive Following A Medical Condition 12 JULY 2019 About The Course: Speakers: Driving is an important and instrumental activity of daily living for many individuals, especially in Lim Hui Hui developed countries like Singapore. Since driving is a Senior Occupational Therapist complex task involving integration of one's MSc in Occupational Therapy psychomotor, cognitive, perceptual and visual skills, individuals with new medical conditions or age- related changes in health may affect their ability to drive safely. Assisting a patient to return to drive is often one of the most challenging tasks faced by occupational therapists. This 2-hour interactive workshop would help occupational therapists to better determine if the client needs a driving assessment. Participants will be able to identify the performance skills required for safe driving. It will also discuss some commonly used screening tests that occupational therapists may utilise to identify at-risk drivers.
