YOUR 2021 Glebe Greyhounds JAFC acknowledges the Gadigal of the Eora nation as the original owners COMMITTEE of the land we play on, and acknowledge their elders past, present and emerging. We are proud of the Aboriginal heritage of our area and of the contribution Aboriginal people make to our club and our community. GLEBE GREYHOUNDS JAFC 2021 GLEBE GREYHOUNDS JAFC Presidents Forward W ell that was annoying. For the second year in a row our season was disrupted. Only it was worse this year. 2020 was a delayed start to the season, but at least we made it through to the end. This year we were all systems go, right up until the point where we weren’t. Of course, perspective is important. In a pandemic where people are risking their health and livelihoods footy has to take a backseat, but if we can just be disappointed about the footy for a sec, a quick run through the competition ladders saw a lot of Glebe and Alliance teams in great positions to be rewarded for all their work from pre-season, training and games with a crack at finals. But as we well know, it wasn’t to be. While I think we can all agree that was rubbish, there was a lot of really great stuff that happened at the Greyhounds this year and that is definitely worth acknowledging. With the shadow of 2020 hanging over the season, everyone was keen to get back into footy early, and so from February there was pre-season training happening at ovals scattered all over the inner west. Jumper presentation was back this year and our extended Greyhounds family of Aunty Bronwyn, in her magnificent who have served, but all around intentions, the 40th anniversary is high time Brad’s Auskick cap was registration and recruitment.
