Girls Division Summer 2021
Dear Machane Miami Girls,
Wow! I can not believe that camp has come to an end ;( !! I feel like it was just yesterday that we were meeting
in the Thunderdome - what's the Thunderdome??
I was so happy to see all of our old friends who have come to camp in the past, but I was also so excited to
meet so many of you who were coming to camp for the first time.
We started off camp by jumping right into activities, with art, swimming, and a delicious Icee truck!!
Throughout the week, we had so many amazing activities. We had Mega waterslides, baking with Lababka,
Hands-on Science Experience, Nexplore, Extreme Magic, Kids in the Kitchen, Game of the Week with Morah
Chava, Art with Mrs. Benzaquen and Mrs. Klagge, Parsha and so much more.
All Right…. Ok… ok…. All right….
Who remembers our Magic Show and Mr. A Science show??
Carnivals are always a blast at Machane Miami with all those snow cones, cotton candy, and mega prizes.
I loved the Talent Show and seeing all the girls who worked together to perform and show the camp their won-
derful talents with dance, gymnastics, art, singing, acting and more.
Our silent glow in the dark dance party was so much fun with everyone dancing to the music with glow sticks,
glow necklaces and of course the best part was the end of the event when we broke out COLOR WAR!!!!!

Congrats to the winning team and really everyone's a winner for working together!
Every Tuesday we boarded up those buses and headed out for an amazing adventure off campus.
The Miami Seaquarium was our first trip where we got to see many sea animals. We all loved jumping around
at Planet air, Urban air, and Ninja Lounge.
Who doesn't love Uncle Bernies?? Everyone went twirling and whirling all around on all the rides, some even
got soaked on the water ride!!
Frost Museum is really cool and interesting with their shark tank, MeLab, and many more awesome exhibits.
Of course a big Yasher Koach to everyone who participated in our Chai Lifeline Campaign which included our
great bowling trip. We all got to enjoy delicious ice cream as a special treat for the big Mitzvah of Tzedakah
that we were a part of!!
To my dear Extreme Girls you are a great group of girls and were tremendous leaders for the whole camp!! I
loved going to BUSCH GARDENS with you and spending many hours on the bus together!!
Each week you girls were lucky enough to go on two trips! Monster Mini Golf, Top Golf, Pinspiration, Color Me
Mine, Ice Skating, and of course - TIGER TAIL!!! You all challenged yourselves to climb the rock wall, paddle
your boats out into the lake, and jump or slide from way up high into the water. We ended the night off with a
delicious BBQ and 9 Square!! Thank you for being an EXTREMELY AWESOME group of campers!!

This summer would not have been as amazing as it was without each and every one of you!!
You showed up every day with a smile on your face, ready to have a great time with your campers, and enjoy
the activities. I appreciate all your hard work and effort and could not have done it without you!
I will miss you all so much during the year and can’t wait to see you back here next summer!!!

Dear Campers, It's hard to believe that Summer 2021 at Machane Miami has come to an end! We had loads of fun! We had an action packed summer at camp where “There is no Place Like Home!” Every week of Machane Miami was full of great activities, amazing trips, exciting shows and Machane Miami Specialties! Here are some highlights: Girls Division: Each day started off with davening and learning. Our fantastic shows included a Mag- ic Show, Carnival, Mad Science Show, Let’s Make a Deal, Camper Bingo, Talent Show, Silent Dance Party and More. Specialties such as Swim, Game Room, Gymnastics, Nexplore Games, Baking with LaBabka, Ex- treme Magic, and Art were a blast. Weekly Mega Water Slides, Kiddush ‘n Kokosh, Amazing Carni- val, 9 Square in the Air, Dress Up Days and Game Room were just some of the special activities found at Machane Miami. We had awesome trips to: Miami Seaquarium, Planet Air, Uncle Bernies, Sparez Bowling, Urban Air, Frost Museum, and Ninja Lounge. Girls Extreme also went to Top Golf, Pines Ice Arena, Tiger Tail Lake, Color Me Mine, Monster Mini Golf, Pinspiration Davie, and Major Trip to Busch Gardens! Our Chai-a-thon raised over $45,000 for Chai Lifeline! Great job to all campers who participated. We would like to thank our fantastic staff: Counselors, Junior Counselors and CITs for working tire- lessly each day to make sure everyone had the best time! To our wonderful specialty staff: thank you for your creativity, energy, and excitement! You each brought a unique talent and quality to Machane Miami and we appreciate your special addition to the camp! Our specialists included: Elisheva Elgad- Head Counselor and Kids in the Kitchen Mrs. Gavriella Hardy- Lifeguard Talia Wasserman- Lifeguard Batsheva Plutchok- Gymnastics Mrs. Rivka Drebin- Trips Mrs. Leah Klagge- Art Mrs. Yaffa Benzaquen- Art Mrs. Chani Richmond- Parsha Mrs. Chava Pomerantz- Game of the Week Mrs. Chavi Drang- Baking with LaBabka Mrs, Yaffa Gordon- Hands on Science To our superb head staff: Mrs. Mimi Serle, Girls Director, Rabbi Ruvain Becker, Boys Director, and Mrs. Devorah Heisler, Preschool Director, and Rabbi Eli Mann, Special Activities Director. What can we say! You each ran a beyond fantastic program! Thank you for your sincere dedication and hard work. We would like to thank Schoolicious Lunches and Jerusalem Pizza for providing delicious lunches for our campers. Thank you to Rabbi Roth and the Toras Emes team for keeping the campus in such great shape! Special shout out to Mrs. Ruchie Berger, our COVID Safety Coordinator for keep- ing our campers safe. Thank you to Mrs. Beth Landesman, Mrs. Shaindy Fishman, and Mrs. Rivka Leah Hauser for all of your behind the scenes work that made the camp run! Dear Machane Machane Machane Miami,
I think only a few words can totally encompass what this summer
has meant to me. And here they are…”nitwit, blubber, oddment,
tweak.” IYKYK.
But anywho, moving on, all the way from day one with craziness of
so many new and old (but not actually, like, old, like in age) camp-
ers all the way to that crazy Silent DJ Party™ it was non- stop
rollercoaster of fun, music, really LOUD music, joy and mirth,
(What’s mirth??) I couldn't have imagined a better summer with all
the fantastic campers and staff (you know who you are…) even I
was dreaming. And I was dreaming. Dreaming of Machane Miami
in Yerushalayim 2022! (Yeah I went there).
Shout out to you, the reader of this article for actually braving my
artistic license to make your way all the way down to this point of
the page. Zeegoot. Marrakech. Unsipus. Those were random
words I wanted you to read cuz maybe they’ll get stuck in your
head, I don’t know. My brain told me to do that to you. Well, “all’s
well that ends well”, my
grandmother used to say. (She never said that)

running the camp planning the VERY fun activities and trips (especially the
extreme trips) and work very hard to make sure that we always have fun. To
