8/19/2021 Girl Scouts Girls who renewed between April 1 - July 31 qualified for free tickets to this event. Girl Scouts who received free tickets to the zoo will also have admission to the RainForest. Complimentary tickets can be used only for GIRL admission to the zoo and are non-transferable. All other attendees must purchase a ticket to the zoo. Put on your Girl Scout gear and take advantage of all Cleveland Metroparks Zoo has to offer, including Asian Highlands, African Elephant Crossing, and the Rosebrough Tiger Exhibit. The zoo team has planned special activities including live animal shows, zookeeper talks, and much more. Discount tickets for family and friends are available to purchase online through September 14 at 11:59pm. 8/19/2021 Girl Scouts September 11-12 (registration closes 8/29) and at Camp Sugarbush October 2-3 (registration closes 9/16). Discover ways to share your experience and knowledge of Girl Scouting with younger girls! Program Aides work directly with younger girls in assisting adult program coordinators. This training is filled with hands-on activities to teach you the skills to assist in managing girls and engaging them in fun activities. Learn what to expect from different ages, understand the importance of Girl Scout safety guidelines and explore the Journey facilitator guides. Register at the links above! Earn your Babysitting badge Want to start a babysitting business? Join us at Camp Ledgewood from October 9-11 and become First Aid/CPR/AED certified, learn childcare techniques, and understand how to start your own business! Practice caring for babies using an infant simulator. Fee includes *Red Cross blended learning first aid/CPR/AED certifications, Red Cross babysitting certification, lunch, snacks and a babysitting starter kit. Complete some of the requirements for the Cadette Babysitting and First Aid badges. This is a 2-day program with an optional overnight. Registration ends September 23! LEARN MORE Fund her Girl Scout Experience - Product Sales Program One of the great experiences of being a Girl Scout is participating in the Girl Scout Product Programs – the Magazine & Snack Program (MSP) in the fall and the Girl Scout Cookie Program, which is the largest girl-led Financial Literacy program in the world. Both are designed to teach your Girl Scout the five skills that are essential to leadership, to success and to life: Goal Setting, Decision Making, Money Management, People Skills and Business Ethics - and people love our delicious snacks and cookies! Interested in having your Girl Scout Juliette participate this year? Complete the Juliette Financial Responsibility Form – once received, her sales materials will be mailed to your home prior to the start of each sale, and she will be added to the online program platforms. Sales material for each sale will include a list of important due dates, instructions on how to access the online program platforms, how to submit orders, where to pick-up the candy/nuts or cookies, how to submit payment and contact information for the staff member who is managing her sale. Both the MSP and the Cookie Program offer online options as well as in-person sales with an order card. 8/19/2021 Girl Scouts The Magazine & Snack Program (MSP) is September 3, 2021 – November 12, 2021 The Cookie Program is January 1, 2022 – April 3, 2022 Girl Scout Juliettes will earn individual girl rewards based on her total sales in each program including sales in the online program platforms. The profit from her sales goes into the GSNEO Juliette account and she can use her funds towards GSNEO camp or program registration, local service unit events, annual membership registration, and in-person at one of the GSNEO council shops! Caregivers will receive an email at the end of the program advising how much she has available to spend and how to request her available funds. If, during the program year, a Juliette joins a troop, her sales and profits will move with her into the troop. More about Product Sales funds Did you know Juliettes who have participated in previous product sales programs have funds held at GSNEO to use for membership, activities, and events? Volunteer Toolkit Keep your Juliette engaged in her Girl Scout journey by finding individual and group activities for her to participate in. To plan Girl Scout badge and Journey work with your girl, we invite you to check out the Volunteer Toolkit (VTK). This is a free online resource and as a caregiver of a Juliette, you can assess and plan in the VTK through your myGS account. GSNEO Girl Advisory Board (GAB) Juliettes, want to know more about how GSNEO is governed and be the first to know about new projects and programs?
