It does however need preserving. For Garages, we buy this timber tanalised - which means it’s pressure treated with an anti-fungal treatment, which is what gives it a green colour tint. Siberian Larch is an entirely different timber. Larch does not require the additional treatment of tanalising. It can withstand its lifespan without being treated (however we do recommend a primer of some sort to protect it from UV damage). Optional Extras Bitumen Shingled Roof Bitumen Shingles are typically used on our Summer Houses as a decorative roofing option. They carry a 15 year guarantee and a life expectancy of many more. They can be requested by planning depts if you need to go through the planning process.
