Kootenai/Shoshone County 1808 N. 3rd Street Coeur d’Alene, Idaho 83814 Phone 208/446-1680 Email: kootenai@uidaho.edu Fourth Quarter (October-November-December) 2019 I can’t believe that we are wrapping up another year already! I want to say thank you to all of our amazing 4-H volunteers for a fantastic year. I also want to take a moment to thank all of you for your patience with our staffing situation throughout the fair. I am not really sure how Sharla and I survived the week with the amount of extra time it took to get us through. I am very happy to announce we have filled our vacant position in the Extension Office. So the next time you visit our office be sure and meet, April Shuck, our new Administrative Coordinator. October 1st marks the start of our new year and we are rolling out lots of new changes for the 2019-20 4-H year. The biggest change you will see is a web-based record book! I think you will agree with me as soon as you get rolling that this new record book is user friendly. We will have several classes for using the new books for all members, parents, and leaders. Please watch your email for updates! I am currently working on getting our project requirements updated for the 2019-20 year. As soon as they are ready to roll out, it will be posted on 4HOnline. If you have questions be sure to reach out to us and ask. I am also collecting ideas for leaders training topics for this next year. If you have ideas please share them! As always we will have our Souper Saturday event in February so get those topic ideas to us! Teresa Balderrama 4-H Program Coordinator The North Idaho State Fair dates are August 26-30, 2020
