Forging Ahead Together Dear Colleague, This is one of the most exciting times in the history of Novelis, and I welcome you to the team. Today, we begin a journey to shape this company – our company – into the defining leader of the aluminum industry. Today we begin “Forging Ahead Together.” As part of this journey, we will accelerate our growth, while strengthening our strong traditions of safety, innovation, quality and customer partnership. In doing so, we will deliver more value to our customers, our employees and the communities where we live and work - all while delivering on the Novelis Purpose of “Shaping a Sustainable World Together.” Our integration teams have done an excellent job preparing us for today; yet the work has only just begun. As we start to integrate our culture, processes and systems, it is important to recognize that this is no small task and we’re likely to feel some growing pains along the way. To help support your personal transition and success as a Novelis employee, this guide provides a starting point of things you need to know about the new Novelis. If you have other questions, please ask your manager, your HR business partner, or reference the integration page on InsideNovelis. Day 1: What You Need to Know In order to make Day 1 a seamless experience, we are minimizing the number of changes employees will experience on this day and in the initial time we are together as one company. Safety Above All Everything we do at Novelis starts with safety. It is this commitment to protecting our people that has led us to industry-leading safety performance. The Novelis Safety System provides a systematic approach to identifying, managing and mitigating risks in our operations. With this system, all Novelis team members are charged with looking out for their own safety, as well as that of their colleagues. Safety Absolutes Novelis has established seven critical procedures for life safety. We call these the Safety Absolutes.
