is a fantasy role-playing video game
developed and published by Square
in 1987. It is the first game in
Square's. Under the watchful eye of

different, and unusual, combinations
of abilities as you can. It's also got a
pretty decent story that ties
everything together, and it presents
a unique twist on the sort of
addictive, deep style of gameplay
that made the game's predecessor a
real classic. The story takes place
after Ivalice ended its war with the
two nations in what is known as the
Fifty Years War, and is facing
economic problems and political
strife. [14]. The game's plot develops
as the player progresses through
towns and dungeons. Some town
citizens offer helpful information,
while others own shops that sell
items or equipment. Dungeons
appear in areas that include forests,
caves, mountains, swamps,
underwater caverns, and buildings.
Dungeons often have treasure chests
containing rare items that are not
available in most stores. The game's
menu screen allows the player to
keep track of their experience points
and levels, to choose which
equipment their characters wield,
and to use items and magic. A
character's most basic attribute is
their level, which can range from one
to fifty, and is determined by the
character's amount of experience.

Gaining a level increases the
character's attributes, such as their
maximum hit points (HP), which
represents a character's remaining
health; a character dies when they
reach zero HP. Characters gain
experience points by winning battles.

Final Fantasy would be his final
game. There are dozens of different
jobs available, including Final
Fantasy mainstays like black mages
and dragoons. Final Fantasy Tactics:
The War of the Lions, was released in
2007 as part of Square Enix's. New
recruits start out as either a Squire or
a Chemist, the base classes for
warrior and magician jobs,
respectively. The game features
twenty jobs accessible by normal

These missions are optional, as are
some of the regular battles, though
you'll typically want to take on all the
standard missions available at any

the famous novel The Neverending
Story --or maybe even more so by
the 1984 movie of the same name--
since this story seems skewed for
younger audiences but is suitable for
all ages. The main character is
Marche, a young boy who is friends
with a couple of other down-on-their-

luck TEENs. Collectively, they aren't
having a great time in their formative
years--they've got problems at home
and at school. One day, though, they
discover a magical book that literally
transforms their harsh and mundane
world into one of swords and sorcery.
This is a place where they can be
heroes. Marche, nevertheless,
believes that this new world is not his
rightful place, and so he begins his
long quest to find a way home.

L'abbiamo aspettato per anni, ma
finalmente è di nuovo tra noi con un
capitolo inedito, pronto a
coinvolgerci ed appassionarci al
punto da non riuscire a spegnere il
piccolo monitor del GBA finché non
abbiamo portato a termine anche
l'ultima battaglia. Final Fantasy
Tactics Advance ha molto in comune
col suo illustre predecessore ma non
è identico: alcune cose sono andate
inevitabilmente perdute nel
passaggio da Playstation a GBA (la
meravigliosa colonna sonora, la
possibilità di ruotare le mappe),
alcuni elementi inediti sono stati
aggiunti (i giudici di gara, la diversa
progressione degli eventi).
Sostanzialmente, alla pari di
"Advance Wars 2", il punto di forza
del titolo Square-Enix sono le
battaglie, l'evoluzione e
caratterizzazione delle unità, mentre
la storia appare poco più di un
orpello e perde decisamente appeal
rispetto a quella, magnifica, vissuta
su FFT. Il basso grado di sfida degli
scontri, inoltre, rende il titolo perfetto
per i novellini ma fin troppo lineare
per i veterani, difetto solo in parte
compensato dall'elevato numero di
missioni che richiedono molto tempo
per essere portate a tutte a termine.
FFTA, quindi, non riesce a superare
né il prequel né, sempre restando in
ambito GBA, quel capolavoro che è
"Tactics Ogre", ma rimane pur
sempre un ottimo titolo, realizzato
con cura, appassionante e divertente
da giocare: in una parola,

Ma ben presto i nodi verranno al
pettine, e spetterà a Marche e al suo
clan riportare la situazione alla
normalità, distruggendo quella che si
rivelerà essere solamente
un'illusione. Ivalice introduce anche
aree chiamate Jagds, bassifondi
senza legge evitate dai giudici. I jagd
sono gli unici posti nel gioco in cui un
personaggio può morire, in tutti gli
altri sono protetti dalla morte dai
giudici e vengono semplicemente
messi fuori combattimento.

guadagna esperienza e notorietà
man mano che completa le missioni,
ma deve sempre guardarsi le spalle:
ogni giorno nascono nuovi gruppi e
per mantenere il controllo della
propria zona è necessario sfidare e
battere tutti i possibili concorrenti. Le
razze che popolano Ivalice sono
cinque: gli Umani, abili in tutto ma
senza particolari talenti, i Moogle,
piccoli e agili, portati per la magia ed
il furto, le Viera, cacciatrici abili e
fiere, i Nu Mou, particolarmente
portati per la magia ed i Bangaa,
lucertoloni guerrieri dotati di
notevole forza fisica. Ben più
numerose, invece, le classi a
disposizione tra cui scegliere, che
sono ben 42, alcune esclusive solo di
determinate razze: ognuna di esse,
comprensibilmente, conferisce
particolari abilità ma anche
debolezze ed un corretto
bilanciamento nell'acquisizione delle
stesse è fondamentale per poter
disporre di personaggi forti ed
equilibrati. La profondità
dell'elemento strategico risiede
proprio in questo, nella possibilità di
gestione personalizzata delle classi!
Un guerriero, ad esempio, dopo aver
guadagnato tot livelli nella sua

classe, può liberamente decidere di
intraprendere un'altra carriera e
diventare un mago: questo gli
permetterebbe di guadagnare nuove
e particolari poteri mantenendo le
abilità precedentemente acquisite. E'
il celeberrimo sistema dei Job Points
(qui rinominati AP, punti abilità),
introdotto e testato con successo già
dal precedente capitolo e fedelmente
