Conventional wisdom would claim that quality
craftsmanship rarely comes at a competitive price point.
In fact, quite the opposite is true at Hammerton. We
start with a clear understanding of the client’s design
and quality expectations, and then we manage the cost
equation with smart engineering and technology.
Over 10% of our workforce is made up of engineers and
industrial designers, all of whom have months of training
on the shop floor. So our design and manufacturing
teams share a broad mastery of materials and fabrication
processes. Collectively they understand all the different
ways fixtures can be built to meet aesthetic and functional
requirements within a given budget.
We use 3D software, equipment and CNC tooling to
execute product development quickly and cost effectively.
Rapid prototyping, design modifications, re-engineering
components, and simplifying aesthetic details are just
a few ways we manage labor and material costs while
maintaining the ideal design integrity for each product.

Hammerton fabrication capabilities include blown and
kiln-fused glass, mesh, stone, ecoresins, acrylics, textiles and
crystal as well as steel, aluminum, bronze, rawhide, mica, and
more. Our 50,000 square foot Salt Lake City manufacturing
facility seamlessly integrates both traditional and modern
tools and technologies with lean manufacturing processes
to bring authentic craftsmanship and unparalleled quality to

This 25-ft diameter, 3.5 ton contemporary LED chandelier is the centerpiece of celebrity
chef Mike Isabella’s newest dining concept. A feat of both engineering and lighting design,
it was fabricated and shipped in multiple operational pieces in order to seamlessly bolt
together on-site.

SPOTLIGHT: GLASS
Hammerton is proud to offer a unique set of
glass fabrication capabilities. Our in-house
operations include artisan blown, kiln-fired,
slumped, fused, sand-etched and hand-
painted glass, all of which can be customized.
Designs extend well beyond traditional glass
bowls and semi-rounds to include unusual
blown shapes and textures, complex drapes,
angular folds up to 90 degrees, large scale
sculptural elements, drums made entirely of
fused glass, and more.
Surprisingly, it’s our expertise in metal that
allows us to do innovative work in glass,
because we fabricate all our jigs and tooling
in-house. With all glass operations under
one roof, we’re able to design, prototype,
manufacture and ship in weeks, not months.

As a custom manufacturer, Hammerton solves these problems every
day. And while we’re well known for developing signature custom
designs for luxury hospitality properties, we also offer several

In their recent remodel of this airy multi-story lobby, Level 3 Design
Group was tasked with sourcing an inexpensive lighting solution that
would provide an eye-catching focal point. Hammerton created this pair
of 18-foot chandeliers featuring asymmetrical clouds of crisp white drum
shades that appear to float suspended in the soaring space.

Outdoor hospitality environments pose big problems
for decorative lighting. Fixtures must conform to a long
list of aesthetic and functional requirements, but tough
climate factors like moisture, UV rays and corrosive sea
air can cause visible signs of wear and damage -- even
after one season.
Hammerton addresses these climate challenges with
an innovative approach to design, fabrication and
finish that’s unmatched in the lighting industry. We
can construct virtually any outdoor fixture design in
aluminum – a naturally corrosion-resistant material
-- and we use both a rugged marine grade pre-
treatment and high performance, super durable AAMA
2604-compliant architectural powder coats.
AAMA 2604 is a rigorous finish performance standard
set by the American Architectural Manufacturer’s
Association that’s widely used for exterior windows,
doors, and even aluminum skyscrapers. To our
knowledge, Hammerton is currently the only AAMA-
2604 certified decorative lighting manufacturer.
We have proven experience in creating comprehensive
custom outdoor lighting packages including large-scale
entrance chandeliers and wall sconces, street lamps,
bollards and post or pier mounts. So rest assured that
your Hammerton outdoor fixtures will not only look
beautiful in their exterior environment -- they’ll also

conference center in 2016. Hammerton created this magnificent coral-themed backlit lobby
wall, along with over 50 chandeliers in steel mesh, kiln-fused glass, parchment and acrylic,
each ranging from 4 to 10 feet in diameter.
