RAMADAN 2021 The Islamic calendar is based on the lunar cycle, and as a result, the Holy month of Ramadan starts earlier by approximately 10 days every year. This year’s Ramadan start date is expected to be Monday 12 April, subject to the sighting of the moon, and the expected end date is Tuesday 11 May. Please note that there are also cultural differences in the start and end dates.
