We are continuing the success story of Germany's most traditional one-make series in the year of its 29th anniversary and are making great efforts to further advance the development of our series. SEASON 2018 04 | 05 The Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland continues to develop steadily even after almost 30 years. Fans and participants can expect lots of improvements throughout all areas in 2018. NEWS 2018 » NEW PLATFORM After several guest appearances last year, the series will for the first time be focusing on the ADAC GT Masters in 2018 » INTENSIVE DEVELOPMENT OF YOUNG DRIVERS With the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland Talent Pool, the series now for the first time comes with a tailor-made development programme, which as a result will allow it to consolidate its standing even further as a talent forge for young drivers. » EXTENDED MEDIA COVERAGE Regular broadcast times, the introduction of LIVE on-board cameras and the expansion of online and social-media activities to increase the series' presence in the media. » ATTRACTIVE PRIZES The overall prize money has been increased by 10% to a total of more than 550,000 euros. Additionally, competitors will be rewarded with exclusive in-kind prizes.
RACES 06 | 07 The Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland will be staged on 7 weekends with 2 sprint races each. All events will be hosted at famous race tracks in Germany and neighbouring countries. Free practice over a period of 60 minutes on the Friday, a qualifying period of 35 minutes on the Saturday and one race over a period of 30 minutes on both the Saturday and Sunday add up to a total race time of more than 2.5 hours on each race weekend. TALENT FORGE 10 | 11 The Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland is the talent pool for Porsche factory drivers and one of the most important training platforms in international GT motorsports. Thirteen of the currently 18 Porsche works drivers received their training in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland. More than 50 former cup racers made their way into professional motorsports. The position as the leading talent forge has been further expanded with the introduction of the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland talent pool. Here, young drivers receive comprehensive support in all relevant areas as they compete in the series.
