HEALTH MOOD FOOD OPENS IN SPITALFIELDS W hether we like it or not, we are all becoming more aware of the ‘good stuff’ we should be eating and realising healthy food doesn’t have to be all boring or time consuming to produce. High Mood Food have a focus on gut health and are absolutely no exception to that, with veg-centric seasonal salads and natu- ral, fermented food which are packed with flavour and colour. Following the successful opening of their Duke Street café in Marylebone, High Mood Food now launches their sec- ond site within The Kitchens, Old Spitalfields Market, on June 15th. We met with Joey O’Hare one of the founders who told us all about the concept and their delicious sounding menu that doesn’t have any sins in sight! Q. How did you get into food and what made you so passion- ate about it, especially with a focus that’s outside the box? A. I’ve always loved food and flavour. Ballymaloe Cookery School gave me a very holistic appreciation of food... it’s part of a biodynamic farm in Ireland so you gain a real understand- ing of seasonality, provenance and sustainability and this has shaped my attitude towards cooking. Their self-titled debut album was released on November 21, 2006 by RCA and 19 Entertainment. DAVID BYRNE 29 Oct – The O2 Byrne will be performing songs from his critically acclaimed al- bum American Utopia, as well as classics from his solo career and his days with Talking Heads.
